    摘要: A method for determining a load on a driven component of a rotating or stationary electromechanical system includes locating a rotationally flexible shaft portion in operable communication with a driving component having a drive rotor rotable about an axis and the driven component. The shaft portion is operably connected thereto. Angular positions of the drive rotor and the driven component are determined. A magnitude of a load on the driven component is calculated based on a difference in angular position of the drive rotor and the driven component and a known torsional rigidity of the shaft portion.

    摘要: A torque detector comprising a first shaft and a second shaft, which are journalled in axially aligned and fixed relation with each other. A movable shaft is interposed between and axially aligned with the first and second shafts, the movable shaft being in axially slidable engagement with the first shaft and rotatable with the first shaft. The movable shaft is in rotatable threaded engagement with the second shaft, and springs are interposed between the movable and second shafts to resist and limit the axial movement and rotation of the removable shaft relative to said second shaft, whereby said axial movement depends on the torque being transmitted between the first and second shafts, when one of the first and second shafts is driven. The movable shaft is adapted to be connected to a transducer for determining the axial movement.

    摘要: Described herein is an improved torque analyzing apparatus for indicating the torque transmitted by power tools. In addition to the housing, bearing supports and torque indicator or pointer, the apparatus includes a torque input shaft that is frictionally connected with a torsion or spiral spring through a resilient sleeve on the shaft. The torsion spring is connected to and transmits torque to a spring housing which is connected to a torsion bar. The torque indicator or pointer is mounted on the spring housing. The torsion spring or spiral spring permits several rotations of the torque input shaft and provides a gradual increase in the torque that is applied to the torsion bar.

    摘要: A rotary-type series elastic actuator (SEA) for use in robotic applications. The SEA including a motor, gear transmission assembly, spring assembly, and sensors. In one example, a robotic joint may include the SEA as well as two links coupled with each other at the joint assembly. The two links may be designated as input and output links. Each link may have a joint housing body which may be concentrically connected via a joint bearing so that they freely rotate against each other. The housing frame of the SEA may be fixed at the joint housing body of the input link while the output mount of the spring assembly of the SEA may be concentrically coupled with the joint housing body of the output link. The rotation of the motor rotor causes the rotation of the output link with respect to the input link plus spring deflection of the spring assembly. When an external force or torque are applied between the two links, a control action of a control loop may cause a rotation and motive force of the motor that lead to the deflection of the spring assembly to balance with the external force/torque and inertial force from body masses moving together with the links.

The elastic deformation body performs a predetermined elastic deformation movement caused by the force to be transmitted at at least one point. A coding sampling section is provided at the at least one point of the deformation body and which follows deformation movements of the at least one point.
