摘要:
Flow measuring method and device for measuring the velocity of a single-phase or multi-phase flow. The method includes calculating the flow velocity U only by measuring consecutive values of pressure p, temperature T and momentum D, and then calculating the change in pressure Δp, change in temperature ΔT and change in momentum ΔD. The device includes a probe with a housing having electronic components connected to different sensors in the probe. The probe has a long, hollow momentum tube, fastened by its first end to the housing and a hollow, cylindrical sensor tube, located inside the momentum tube fastened by its first end to the first end of the momentum tube. The sensor tube includes plate capacitors located on the outside of the second end, and is thereby able to measure the conductance between the momentum tube and the plate capacitors on the sensing tube. The probe has a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor.

The present invention is a self-leveling hydrometer. A balance hanger is on top of a handle, which connects to a swinging support part. An imbalanced load is in the center of the floating measurement indicator and the imbalanced load can rotate freely in the round hole on the center of the floating measurement indicator. The imbalanced load has a protrudent round plate on edge that exposes on the round hole of the floating measurement indicator. A moveable hook, the support part and the imbalanced load can position the present invention in an absolute horizontal position for accurate liquid specific gravity readout. The present invention can also achieve easier and more accurate initial calibration process during manufacturing.

BECAUSE THE CORROSIVENESS AND FREEZING POINT OF RADIATOR COOLANT ARE RELATED, THE SUITABILITY OF THE COOLANT DEPENDS ON BOTH FACTORS. TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION OF THE COOLANT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INVENTION THE PH AND SPECIFIC GRAVITY ARE MEASURED SIMULTANEOUSLY. THIS IN ACCOMPLISHED BY PLACING A PH MEASURING COLOR INDICATOR ON THE NOZZLE OR OTHER PORTION OF A HYDROMETER THAT IS ADAPTED TO ENTER THE SOLUTION WHEN THE HYDEOMETER IS FILLED. IN A PREFERRED FORM OF THE INVENTION INDICATOR CONSISTS OF A MATRIX COMPOSED OF A CONTINUOUS PHASE OF A MOISTURE PERMEABLE MATERIAL IN WHICH IS DISPERSED A WATER INSOLUBLE PH SENSITIVE INDICATOR.

A vibratory meter and method for verification of a vibratory sensor is provided. The method includes measuring a plurality of temperatures using a temperature sensor and measuring a plurality of sensor time periods using the sensor assembly. An average temperature and an average sensor time period are determined. The average sensor time period is compensated using the average temperature, generating a compensated sensor time period. The compensated sensor time period is compared to a reference sensor time period. The results are indicated. In further embodiments, a standard deviation of the plurality of temperatures or the plurality of sensor time periods are compared to a limit and sensor stability is indicated. In further embodiments, a difference between measured density and a reference density of a fluid is compensated using the altitude and the average temperature.

An apparatus and a method for ascertaining the relative amount of two or more phases present in a multiphase flow, such as produced petroleum, through a pipe. Multiphase flow is temporarily diverted into a test section. Normal flow is then restored with fluids trapped in the test pipe. One or more floats of proper densities inside the test pipe are allowed to float to and stabilize at positions representative of the phase interfaces. An electromagnetic, radioactive, acoustic, or other sensor is used from outside the test pipe to locate the interfaces as indicated by the position of the floats. The relative amount of the various phases is then calculated. In an alternative embodiment, the velocity of a piston located inside the test section is also measured to give the total flow rate of the multiphase flow. The total volumetric flow rate, along with the relative phase amounts gives the absolute volumetric phase flow rates.
