    摘要: A system can provide current detection in an integrated circuit (IC) chip while compensating for variations in circuit components resulting from process, voltage supply, temperature, or combinations thereof. The system can include the IC chip that has a power switch circuit that includes a power circuit path including a first transistor connected to a power source through a first conductive trace that has a first resistance value, and to a load by a second conductive trace having a second resistance value. A current detection circuit is configured to compensate for the variations in the power switch circuit using a sense circuit path that is configured to match process, voltage supply, and temperature variations in the power circuit path.

    摘要: Provided is a current detection resistor, which has a jumper function and a low resistance resistor function at the same time. The resistor is a metal plate resistor, which comprises a resistor body consisting of a metal material and a pair of electrodes consisting of a metal material having higher conductivity than the resistor body, wherein the resistor body is bonded between the electrodes. The pair of electrodes comprises a first electrode and a second electrode longer than the first electrode, wherein a slit is formed in the second electrode so that a portion of the second electrode becomes a terminal for voltage detection. The end of the slit does not reach the resistor body. The first electrode and the second electrode are respectively provided with mounting portions connecting to wiring patterns, and the resistor body is formed in the vicinity of the mounting portion of the first electrode.

    摘要: A measuring device for measuring a power of a measurement signal comprises an analog-processing unit (1) and a calibration unit (5) for the implementation of a calibration procedure. The analog-processing unit (1) provides two detector diodes (14, 15) connected in an antiparallel manner relative to a signal input (10) and an amplifier (50) for the amplification of signals which are derived from output signals of the detector diodes (14, 15). The analog-processing unit (1) further provides a chopper unit (28) which is connected at two terminals in series between the detector diodes (14, 15) and the amplifier (50). In this context, the calibration unit (5) comprises at least one current source, wherein the current sources (46, 47) is connected to at least one input terminal of the amplifier (50).

    摘要: A dynamic calibrating current sensor control system includes an input power supply that generates an input current and a current sensor interposed between the input power supply and the load. The current sensor is configured to output at least one current signal indicating a level of current delivered to the load. The dynamic calibrating current sensor control system also comprises an electronic switching control circuit that generates at least one control signal to selectively connect the input power supply to the load, and an electronic drift suppression circuit in signal communication with the current sensor and the switching control circuit. The drift suppression circuit is configured to generate a corrected current signal in response to applying an offset value to the current signal. The offset value cancels the drift current from the current signal in response to connecting the input power supply to the load.

    摘要: A system comprises an integrated circuit package, an inductor that is part of a power supply, and a printed circuit board (PCB) having a metal trace disposed directly below the inductor when viewed from a top-down perspective. The integrated circuit package includes a first terminal, a second terminal, and a novel inductor current detection and calibration circuit. The first terminal is coupled to a first end of the metal trace and the second terminal is coupled to a second end of the metal trace. During operation of the power supply, the novel circuit detects an OCP condition whereby an output current of the power supply exceeds an OCP level. The novel circuit detects the OCP condition in part by sensing a voltage across the metal trace. After calibration at room temperature, the novel circuit performs accurate OCP detection over a range of temperatures without using any temperature sensor near inductor.
