The receiver lines include first parallel lines and second lines parallel to the first lines and located in intermediate positions between the first lines. Seismic waves are emitted from source positions located along the first receiver lines, and seismic data, representing waves measured by the various geophones in response to the emitted waves, are obtained. Said first seismic data are processed by seismic interferometry in order to estimate other seismic data representing responses, in at least some of the receiver positions, to waves emitted from a virtual source located in a receiver position along a second line.

The system includes a facility control system at a facility that obtains earthquake information sent from one or more seismic sensors, and sends the earthquake information over a network directly or indirectly to other facility control systems. The facilities which include the facility control systems can be owned/operated by different business organizations or by the same organization, in examples. The facility control system at each facility responds to received earthquake information from the other facility control systems by configuring building systems such as public address systems to warn building occupants, industrial machine controllers to stop machinery, and elevator controllers to stop elevators at a nearest floor and open its doors, in examples.

A method for determining spatial distribution of proppant incudes using signals detected by seismic sensors disposed proximate a formation treated by pumping fracturing fluid containing the proppant. Origin time and spatial position of seismic events induced by pumping the fracturing fluid are determined. Volume and orientation of at least one fracture in the subsurface formation associated with each induced seismic event are determined. Spatial distribution of a volume of the pumped fracturing fluid is determined using the volume and orientation of each fracture. A length of ellipsoidal axes is selected using a surface defined by a selected fractional amount of the total volume of frac fluid pumped into the formation. Spatial distribution of the proppant is determined using proppant mass, specific gravity and expected proppant porosity in the fractures, and spatially distributing a volume of the fractures within an ellipsoid defined by the ellipsoidal axes.

The disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for obtaining unaliased wavefield data despite using spatial sampling distances that are higher than conventional techniques and temporal sampling rates that are lower than conventional techniques. The devices can include an array of sensors for sampling a desired wavefield and at least one of its derivatives. The systems can include a multi-level array of such sensor configurations. The methods can include lowering such an array into a borehole and sampling data at distances that are greater than suggested by conventional theory, or lowering a multi-level array into a borehole and simultaneously gathering data at different depth levels.
