摘要: This disclosure describes a system and method for generating subsurface image data by inducing a first acoustic energy in a fluid contained within a pipe network at a predetermined location. The acoustic energy propagates through the pipe network and into a subsurface in which the pipe network is contained and is then recorded using an array of transducers. The recorded acoustic energy is provided as input to a machine learning algorithm to generate image data associated with the subsurface, which is used to generate a subsurface model for presentation in a graphical user interface.

摘要: A method to estimate a depth profile of a weathering layer in a subterranean formation of a field is disclosed. The method includes obtaining gravity survey data of the field, generating an equivalent source density profile based on the gravity survey data, wherein the equivalent source density profile describes a set of equivalent gravitational sources to substitute rock layers of the subterranean formation, generating an equivalent source gravity response based on the equivalent source density profile, wherein the equivalent source gravity response excludes a gravity contribution from the weathering layer, calculating a separated weathering layer gravity response based on a difference between the gravity survey data and the equivalent source gravity response, wherein the separated weathering layer gravity response corresponds to the gravity contribution from the weathering layer, and generating a modeled weathering layer depth profile based on the separated weathering layer gravity response.

摘要: A downhole tool having an acoustic transducer for downhole measurements. A backing is in contact with an inner surface of the transducer. A first structure is coupled to a first housing. A second structure is coupled to a second housing. A member includes first, second, and third portions. The first portion is coupled to the first structure. The second portion is coupled to the second structure. At least one of the first and second structures is coupled to the member and has a degree of freedom relative to the member. The third portion extends longitudinally through the backing between the first and second portions such that compressional forces on the first and second housings are transferred through the first and second structures and the backing. A canister contacts an outer surface of the transducer and exerts radial forces on the transducer when exposed to pressures higher than atmospheric pressure.

摘要: Systems and methods include a computer-implemented method for predicting fluid holdups along the borehole or the pipe on surface and to perform fluid typing and fluid properties characterization. Acoustic waves are transmitted by an array of acoustic wave transducers. Each transducer is configured to transmit acoustic waves at a different frequency. The acoustic waves are received by an array of acoustic wave receivers fixed on the bow centralizer on the tool used in the borehole. Each receiver is configured to receive only the given frequency of a given transducer, forming a receiver-transducer pair for the given frequency. Acoustic speeds measured at each given frequency and analyzed. A model is generated based on the analyzing. The model is configured to predict fluid holdups across the borehole and to perform fluid typing and fluid properties characterization in one phase, two phase, and three phase applications of gas, oil, and water.
