    摘要： An apparatus, such as in a copying machine, by which an original sheet and a light-sensitive sheet can be fed along separate feed paths toward and onto one another and then one upon another through a station for exposure of the light-sensitive sheet to a light image of the original sheet is provided with a control system, including a separating device disposed to act on the sheets passing from the exposure station, whereby after an exposure the original sheet can be led away from the light-sensitive sheet irrespective of the relative position of the sheets fed for the exposure. A detector sensing the leading edge of an original sheet in its own feed path, activates the control system which in turn puts the separating device into operation after the lapse of a period of time corresponding to the time of transport of the leading edge of the original sheet from the detector up to the separating device. The separating device is de-activated, as by another detector disposed in a sheet discharge path, when the leading portion of the separated original sheet passes out of the range of action of the separating device.

    摘要： A sheet separation device has a copy sheet guide which directs a sheet of copy paper to means for forwarding copy paper to requisite stages subsequent to an exposure stage. The copy sheet guide is engageable by a stop which is disengaged by the leading edge of a sheet of copy paper, and the guide is rotatable by an independent drive source which is not effective until disengagement of the stop, whereby less force is required to be applied by the copy paper to disengage the stop.

    摘要： Method and apparatus for feeding original and copy sheets in a duplicator having an improved copyboard containing a radiation-transmissive plate adapted to carry superposed thereon the original and copy sheets with the original disposed between the plate and the copy sheet, the copyboard being linearly reciprocatable between a loading station, at which the original and copy sheets may be positioned on the plate, and an exposure station, at which the copy sheet is exposed through the radiation-transmissive plate and the original sheet and is thereafter removed for further processing. At the end of each exposure cycle, the copyboard moves back to the loading station carrying thereon the original sheet for the initiation of a subsequent sequence. Also disclosed are method and apparatus for accurately registering the copy sheet and original sheet on the copyboard and method and apparatus for separating the exposed copy sheet from the original sheet.

    摘要： An apparatus for separating superimposed flexible sheet materials which comprises a first segment roller consisting of divided segments, a second segment roller rotatable independently of said first segment roller and adapted to nip the superimposed sheet materials together with said first segment roller, said first segment roller rotating at a peripheral speed faster than that of the second segment roller, and a separating member secured rotatably between the segments of said first segment roller and including an engaging portion which engages with the forward ends of the superimposed sheet materials and is moved along the periphery of said first segment roller by the proceeding of the engaged sheet materials, whereby one sheet material of the engaged sheet materials which is in contact with the second segment roller is separated from the other sheet material in contact with the first segment roller as a result of the disengagement of the forward end of said one sheet material from the engaging portion by the difference in peripheral speed between said segment rollers. The separating apparatus is used especially with a copying machine.
