    摘要: Methods are provided of automatically evolving a process model including process-elements and relationships between process-elements. The method comprises receiving user input defining one or more new constraints to be satisfied by the evolved process model. The method further comprises performing an optimization method to find a best solution of a cost function depending on a set of optimization conditions, over a solution space of possible consistent and/or sound process models derivable from the process model to be evolved depending on the one or more new constraints. The set of optimization conditions comprises maximization of constraints satisfaction corresponding to satisfaction of the one or more new constraints and of previous constrains from previous executions of the method. The method still further comprises updating the process model with the obtained best solution. Computer programs and systems are also provided that are suitable for performing such methods.

    摘要: A system and method for generating a behavior model for simulating an automation system, wherein signal flows between components of the automation system are simulated. The system comprises a CAD application for developing CAD drawings of the components of the automation system, where the CAD application comprises first modules for defining a geometric scope of application for the data interfaces of the components, second modules for defining at least one signal transmission prerequisite, which marks at least one relative position of two scopes of application relative to each other, at which signal transmission is possible between associated data interfaces, third modules for verifying the compatibility of the data interfaces at which the signal transmission prerequisite is met, and fourth modules for generating the behavior model such that a signal flow between the data interfaces at which the signal transmission prerequisite and compatibility are met is modeled in the simulation.

    摘要: A flexographic printing press simulation application provides virtual control of various types of flexographic printing presses. Running on an industry standard personal computer, the simulation application allows a user to modify a wide variety of printing process parameters and view the printed results. Process parameters and values can be adjusted for each component of the printing press, as well as for the materials utilized. The print images generated by the simulator reflect the parameter changes as they happen, and can be compared to a “proof” in real time using built-in virtual diagnostic tools. A training module provides for the creation of training curricula based on a library of printing process problems.

    摘要: A method and apparatus is provided for compositional modeling of print engines. The system automatically derives a complete list of all of the capabilities of a described print engine. The method includes providing compositional models of components forming the print engine. The models describe local capabilities of each component including part transformation abilities as well as timing constraints. Using the component models, configurations are created by connecting the components. Once the component models are connected, the capabilities of the configurations are directly derived. A capability is a part that can be produced by the configuration, together with the itinerary required to produce the part, the inputs from which the output is assembled, and the timing constraints to be observed when executing the itinerary. Capabilities are the fundamental connection between the description of a job to be printed by a print engine and the print engine scheduling and control software. Capabilities are themselves compositional and are used to automatically derive scheduling and control software for customer-configured print engines.

    摘要: A device for simulating a controlled machine or installation includes a process simulation apparatus designed to perform simulation steps that simulate a physical process of the machine or installation, and a controller simulation apparatus designed to perform simulation steps that simulate a controller of the machine or installation. The process simulation apparatus and the controller simulation apparatus exchange particular output values so as to simulate the controlled machine or installation in the respective simulation steps. The controller simulation apparatus transmits an item of information to the process simulation apparatus, which item of information describes a result time for an end of a simulation step performed by the controller simulation apparatus, while the process simulation apparatus is designed to adjust a duration of at least one of the simulation steps depending on the result time.
