    Abstract: Systems and techniques are described herein for modifying the scale and/or position of objects in images. For instance, a system can obtain a two-dimensional (2D) input image from a camera and a three-dimensional (3D) representation of the 2D input image. The system can further determine a first portion of the 3D representation of the 2D input image corresponding to a target object in the 2D input image. The system can adjust a pose of the first portion of the 3D representation of the 2D input image corresponding to the target object. The system can further generate a 2D output image having a modified version of the target object based on the adjusted pose of the first portion of the 3D representation of the 2D input image corresponding to the target object to be output on a display.

    Abstract: A method, device, and computer-readable storage medium for generating a shadow mesh. The method includes: receiving a graphics mesh; computing a set of LOD versions for each component of the graphics mesh, where each successive LOD version in the set of LOD versions includes fewer polygons than the preceding LOD version; computing a set of shadow versions for each component of the graphics mesh, where each successive shadow version in the set of shadow versions includes fewer polygons than the preceding shadow version, and each successive shadow version includes vertices that lie within a mesh defined by the preceding shadow version; generate N LOD meshes for the graphics mesh by selecting, for each LOD, a LOD version of each component to include in the LOD mesh; and generating a shadow mesh by selecting a shadow version of each component to include in the shadow mesh.

    Abstract: A method for point cloud decoding includes receiving a bitstream. The method also includes decoding the bitstream into multiple frames that include pixels. Certain pixels of the multiple frames correspond to points of a three-dimensional (3D) point cloud. The multiple frames include a first set of frames that represent locations of the points of the 3D point cloud and a second set of frames that represent attribute information for the points of the 3D point cloud. The method further includes reconstructing the 3D point cloud based on the first set of frames. Additionally, the method includes identifying a first portion of the points of the reconstructed 3D point cloud based at least in part on a property associated with the multiple frames. The method also includes modifying a portion of the attribute information. The portion of the attribute information that is modified corresponds to the first portion of the points.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein may relate to a technique to be performed by surface partition logic. The technique may include identifying a first mesh portion that is related to a first plane of a three-dimensional (3D) space, and a second mesh portion that is related to a second plane of the 3D space. The technique may include identifying, based on a linear representation of a border between the first mesh portion and the second mesh portion, an element of the first mesh portion that at least partially overlaps the second mesh portion.     Abstract: According to an aspect of the disclosure, a method of generating a low-poly mesh for a three-dimensional (3D) model is provided. In the method, an edge-collapse operation is performed on each of a plurality of edges of an input mesh to generate a simplified mesh in which a number of faces of the input mesh is reduced by the edge-collapse operation. A position of at least one vertex of the simplified mesh is updated to generate an updated mesh in which a distance between the simplified mesh and the input mesh is reduced. The low-poly mesh is generated based on an aligned mesh in which positions of vertices of the updated mesh are optimized by minimizing a shape difference between the simplified mesh and the updated mesh.
