Abstract:
Selection of an area of an image can be received. Selection of a subset of a plurality of predefined patterns may be received. A plurality of patterns can be generated. At least one generated pattern in the plurality of patterns may be based at least in part on one or more predefined patterns in the subset. Selection of another subset of patterns may be received. At least one pattern in the other subset of patterns may be selected from the plurality of predefined patterns and/or the generated patterns. Another plurality of patterns can be generated. At least one generated pattern in this plurality of patterns may be based at least on part on one or more patterns in the other subset. Selection of a generated pattern from the generated other plurality of patterns may be received. The selected area of the image may be populated with the selected generated pattern.
Abstract:
A method and computer software for creating an encoded image and which can optionally include a method for decoding the encoded image. The encoded image is preferably formed from at least one symmetric image but can be formed from a plurality of symmetric images. Embodiments of the present invention can be performed with physical paper and writing utensils or can be performed via computer software. Embodiments of the present invention can be used for art authentication based on results obtained by decoding an image. In one embodiment, one or more encoded image elements can be revealed simultaneously. Optionally, however, encoded image elements can be caused to be revealed in a series that gives a sense of motion in a manner similar to that of motion picture animation.
Abstract:
Tire treads having improved traction properties while surprisingly still maintaining good material cohesion properties, the tire treads comprising a rubber composition based upon a highly unsaturated diene elastomer and between 95 phr and 160 phr of an inorganic reinforcing filler. The composition may further include between 60 phr and 130 phr of a plasticizing system made up of a plasticizing resin having a Tg of at least 25° C. and a plasticizing liquid. The rubber composition is cured with an ultra-efficient sulfur curing system having a sulfur to accelerator weight ratio adjusted between 0.02 and 0.2 to provide the rubber composition with an MA300/G* ratio of greater than 1.7, wherein the elongation modulus MA300 at 300% is measured at 23° C. and the shear modulus G* is measured at 60° C.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for escape detection and mitigation for aquaculture. In some implementations, a method includes obtaining one or more images that depict one or more fish within a population of fish that are located within an enclosure; providing, to one or more detection models configured to classify fish that are depicted within the images as likely being member or as likely not being member of a type of fish, the one or images; generating, as a result of providing the one or more images to the one or more detection models, a value that reflects a quantity of fish that are depicted in the images that are likely a member of the type of fish; and detecting a condition based at least on the value.
Abstract:
A global composition system is described. In one or more implementations, the global composition system may be configured to perform rendering for a plurality of applications. For example, the global composition system may be configured to expose one or more application programming interfaces (APIs) that are accessible to the applications. The APIs may then be used to cause a single composition engine to perform the rendering for the plurality of applications. The use of a single composition engine may be used to support a variety of different functionality, such as to perform efficient rendering by knowing what elements are provided by each of the applications and how those items relate for rendering to a display device.
