摘要： A carpool fare organizer is useful when there is at least one passenger and comprises a distance recording unit, a passenger calculating unit, a fare calculating module and at least one display device. The distance recording unit records a get-in distance, a get-out distance and an accumulated distance of each passenger. The passenger calculating unit calculates a number of passengers. The fare calculating module calculates an original fare, an accumulated discount and an economical fare. A method for generating carpool fares comprises steps of recording a get-in distance, a get-out distance and an accumulated distance of each passenger and a number of passengers, and calculating an economical fare with the get-in distance, the get-out distance, the accumulated distance and the number of passengers.

摘要： A system for preventing fraud when using a taximeter that utilizes a stage for detecting a load condition in a taxi and for recording signals corresponding to the load and driving condition of the taxi and to whether the taximeter is switched on or off. The load detection stage is adapted to detect the load on at least the rear wheels (2b) of the taxi (1), and to detect a change from a zero point indicating the unloaded condition. Another stage detects the fuel consumption and emits a signal for adjusting, at least at intervals, the load zero point in correspondence with this consumption. The load detection stage (13) is adapted to emit an alarm signal when the detected load change exceeds a given threshold value while the taximeter (4) is switched on.

摘要： Disclosed is a taximeter for calculating a taxi fare based upon predetermined distance and time factors. An oscillator produces a time base pulse train and a transducer produces a distance pulse train. A modifier is controlled by the distance pulse train and modifies the time base pulse train when the distance pulse train exceeds a predetermined level. A counting device adds the modified time base pulse trains and provides a signal to a display device for indicating the taxi fare.

摘要： A capacitive occupancy detector apparatus includes a personnel containment device having first and second electrodes which will define an electric field therebetween which will be intercepted by a person present in the containment device. A detecting device is provided for detecting the capacitance formed between the first and second electrodes and a processor is provided for storing the capacitance at predetermined periods. The difference between the last capacitance detected and a capacitance previously stored is detected to determine the presence of a person when the difference indicates an increase of the capacitance exceeding a first predetermined threshold. A second threshold is set based upon the capacitance which determines the presence of a person so that the subsequent determination of the absence of a person is based upon detecting a decrease of the capacitance with respect to the second threshold.
