The apparatus includes a multi recording head configured to record a plurality of tracks while a head chip carries out one scanning operation and a multi playback head configured to obtain a plurality of playback signals while the head chip carries out one scanning operation. The multi playback head is disposed so that tracks overlap by one channel in the head-width direction. The tape transporting speed for playback is slower than the tape transporting speed for recording.

    摘要: A rotating head wheel for a recorder is displaceable in the direction of its axis of rotation. The displacement is produced by mounting the head wheel on a threaded spindle using a nut arrangement. The spindle rotates in the same direction as the head wheel and its rate of rotation is variable. The nut arrangement includes two nuts disposed along the same axis. A spring, disposed between the two nuts, pushes the nuts in opposite directions. The nuts are capable of moving in the direction of the axis but cannot be twisted relative to each other. In this way, the threads of the nuts make continuous contact with the thread of the spindle to compensate for a backlash between the spindle and the nuts.

    摘要: Magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus is constructed in such that a personal computer is electrically connected to the apparatus through connectors, and that a track deviation caused by the apparatus itself is measured through the personal computer by a nondestructive manner upon tape running operation by installing a test magnetic tape formed with recorded tracks having almost no track deviation to the apparatus so as to be helically wound around the rotary drum rotating with magnetic heads in a predetermined angular range and direction. The apparatus has a device for stepwise shifting the magnetic heads in a longitudinal direction of the test magnetic tape for causing the magnetic head positions to displace stepwise and relatively with respect to the tracks along a track traversing line of the recorded tracks in response to a command directed from the personal computer and a device for outputting values of an FM signal measured at a plural measuring points predetermined along a head scanning direction of the recorded track at every stepwise shifted magnetic head positions as the magnetic head scans the recorded tracks of the test magnetic tape. The values of the FM signal outputted from the device are inputted to the personal computer for further processing.

    摘要: An optical recording and reproducing system has an optical recording and reproducing head driving arrangement including an optical pick-up and has an optical recording medium provided between the recording heads. The optical recording and reproducing head is mounted on a rotating arrangement. The head scans tracks while a relative position of the recording medium and rotating arrangement is changed. Each track has an address recorded at the beginning of scanning and a hold signal at the end of scanning. The recording and reproducing heads are separated one track. The recording head makes recording while the reproducing head makes reproduction. In the recording or reproducing mode of operation, the track address is looked. If wrong, it is corrected. The hold signal is detected to operate a tracking device and focusing device. Scanning the next track is determined by the address before tracking is made for recording or reproduction.

    摘要: The present invention relates a helical scan-type magnetic recording and reproducing for use in VTR or DAT. The head (4) is rotated by the rotary member (3) and is, at the same time, linearly reciprocated in the width wise direction of the tape smoothly and stably.
