    摘要: A water proofing protecting cap that is placed over a terminal consolidation splice portion of a wire harness. The protecting cap being a dip molded transparent tubular body that is provided with a bottom portion wherein, from an opening for insertion at the other end, the protecting cap can be filled with a water sealant and a terminal consolidation splice portion of a wire harness is insertable. A marking line made by a rib on a male mold used in the dip molding is provided in a circumferential direction on an inner circumferential surface of a peripheral wall and is distanced by a required height from an inner surface of the bottom portion toward the opening, and a non-transparent line is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall following the marking line. The non-transparent line serving as a control line for a lower end position of the consolidation splice portion.

    摘要: An explosion-preventing suspension insulator includes an insulator body and a metal cap and a metal pin both being bonded to the insulator body by means of cement. A synthetic resin based electrical insulating film having a Young's modulus of elasticity of from 20,000 to 80,000 kgf/cm.sup.2 is provided in a specific thickness on the inner surface of the metal cap and the outer surface of the metal pin at a portion where the metal pin is buried into the cement. The preferred thickness of each electrical insulating film is from 600 to 1,500 .mu.m.

    摘要: An electrolytic corrosion resistant insulator includes an insulator body having a cavity therein and a metallic pin having a portion located within the cavity and secured therein by cement. A sacrificial anode surrounds the pin at an intermediate portion thereof and protrudes radially from the pin. Part of the sacrificial anode is covered by the cement. An electric insulating film of a synthetic resin is lamination-attached to the pin and covers substantially the entire outer surface of the portion of the pin which is secured within the cavity by the cement. The electric insulating film also covers approximately half of the upper portion of the sacrificial anode. The electric insulating film is free from pin holes and has a thickness between 200 and 600 micrometers.

    摘要: A connector for high tensile load attachment to an elongated rod, such as a resin bonded, glass reinforced rod, includes a high strength, elongated, metal cylindrical retainer having an internal shoulder formed at one longitudinal end and a plurality of outer peripheral threads formed at the other longitudinal end for the threaded attachment of a hook or other load bearing device. The connector further includes a plurality of metal collets or rings, whose inner peripheral profile configurations are that of a pair of truncated cones placed base-to-base, serially, longitudinally received within the retainer. The slopes of the cones of the collets received within the retainer are independently, variably preselectable to achieve optimum results. The junctions or edges defining the intersections of the bases of the cones are rounded off to avoid excessive stresses being transmitted to the rod. In mounting the connector onto an end of an elongated rod, the retainer is placed around the rod and a desired number of the collets, depending upon the tensile load anticipated, are serially placed within the retainer and abut against the shoulder of the retainer. An elastomeric O-ring seal is positioned securely about the rod and beneath the underside of the retaining cylinder. An organic potting compound, for example an epoxy resin, is poured into the space between the rod and the collets and is held therein by the O-ring seal. After the potting compound has set, the O-ring seal is removed and a suitable load bearing device or attachment may be threaded onto the threaded end of the retainer.
