    摘要: The present invention relates to a control module that comprises at least one touch control surface (3) made of a sensor (31) sensitive to the pressure applied on the touch surface (3) and of a flexible protection layer (33) covering said sensor (31) and allowing a pressure to be locally transmitted to the sensor. The module further includes a rigid mechanical support (15) in which openings (27) are formed, allowing therethrough the light from at least one light source (25) and defining back-lighting regions of the touch surface (3), and a plate (20) of an incompressible material and transparent to the light which is sandwiched between the mechanical support (15) and the sensor (31) and defines a continuous smooth surface at the touch surface (3), wherein the sensor (31) and the flexible protection layer (33) are made so as to allow the light at least partially through the back-lighting regions.

    摘要: A light emitting key structure is provided. The key structure includes a base, a reflective sheet, a circuit board, an elastic member, a linkage mechanism, and a key cap sequentially disposed one on another in order. The reflective sheet is disposed on the base. The circuit board is made of a light guide material. At least one light source is bonded to a lateral side of the circuit board. The circuit board, together with the light source bonded to the lateral side thereof is disposed on the reflective sheet. The elastic member is directly coupled to the circuit board. The key cap is featured with a light transmission characteristic. Therefore, in operation, the light emitted from the light source can be directly guided into the circuit board, and then outputted from the light transmissive key cap, thus achieving the light emitting effect.

    摘要: An illuminated keyboard includes keys; a base plate; an LED circuit board on the base plate and comprising a first circuitry and LEDs; a spacer plate on the LED circuit board and comprising units each corresponding to the key, each unit including two first groove connectors, two second groove connectors, and at least one opening each for receiving the LED; an optically transmissive film circuit board on the spacer plate and comprising a second circuitry, switch contacts, and holes, the first or second groove connector passing through the hole; and a rubber plate on the film circuit board and comprising resilient domes each disposed between the key and the switch contact, the dome having a recessed top for retaining the key, a bottom stem, and through holes grouped as groups each around the dome. The first or second groove connectors are adapted to pass through the holes.

    摘要: Two transparent conductive panels are separated by a perimeter of elastic adhesive that forms a sealed gap in which transparent insulative fluid is interposed. The fluid has a refraction index close to that of the panels to improve light transmittance through the device. The small width of the gap improves response time and prevents formation of a vacuum in the gap. The panels are connected to a position detection circuit that determines coordinate position of an applied pressure point. Spacers in the gap reduce the chance of accidental large-area contact which would result in an erroneous position command. The elasticity of the adhesive and the small gap width provide better temperature variation tolerance in addition to improved consistency and reliability of operation.

    摘要: Fine particles, of predetermined composition and sized to be within a predetermined size range, are deposited on, and thereafter adhere in random distribution to, one of two adjacent surfaces, serving to keep the surfaces uniformly spaced apart except when an external force causes them to make local contact. The particles are conveniently applied in the form of a spray of a suspension of particles and a fluid carrier material, preferably water with alumina particles, or an aqueous solution of a chloride salt of an alkaline earth metal such as calcium, potassium or sodium when small glass beads are used as the particles. Brown alumina particles (approximately 96% Al.sub.2 O.sub.3) in the size range 3-50 microns, so utilized, are found well suited as parallel surface spacers in optically transparent touch sensitive overlay (TSO) panels. Particle distribution densities in the range 300-1,000 particles per inch are satisfactory for TSO panels, with the higher particle density requiring a higher actuation pressure to be applied.

    摘要: An apparatus for selective backlighting individual transluscent keys of a terminal keyboard includes a horizontal, double-sided printed circuit board having a number of right angle LEDs equal to the number of backlit keys mounted on its bottom surface. A plurality of clearance holes in the printed circuit board admit a plurality of vertical light pipes that are integral with a transparent substrate. Integral alignment bosses on a bottom surface of the substrate fit precisely in corresponding holes of the printed circuit board. Each light pipe has a rectangular cross section and a 45 degree inclined bottom surface. A horizontal light beam emitted by a LED passes through a vertical wall of a light pipe, strikes its inclined bottom surface, and is reflected up through the light pipe into a recess within a key. The substrate supports a rubber sheet in which the keys are molded and a switch contact layer with printed conductors thereon. Depression of a key presses a conductive shorting pad against the printed conductors, actuating a switch.
