摘要： A rocker panel button arrangement having a bezel with an opening. A rocker button is rotatably mounted to the bezel and is located within the aperture. The rocker button is pivotable about an axis between a first position, a second position and a neutral position. The rocker button also includes a viewing surface and a back side. A capacitive film is connected to the back side of the rocker. A chassis is connected and supports the capacitive film and is also connected to and movable with the rocker button. A circuit board is connected to the bezel adjacent the chassis. The circuit board is connected to the bezel in such a manner that the chassis, capacitive film and rocker button may rotate freely near the circuit board. Between the chassis and the circuit board is a rocker actuator that may take several forms.

摘要： A modular toggle mechanism assembly has a housing assembly, a toggle handle pivotally mounted in the housing assembly and movable between a first position and a second position, biasing means for selectively biasing the toggle handle in the first position or the second position, and an actuator arm connected to the toggle handle and capable of selectively actuating an external switching device as a function of the position of the toggle handle. The modular toggle assembly also includes an external switching device in selective association with the toggle handle. The housing assembly includes an upper housing and a lower housing configured to be secured together, wherein a portion of the toggle handle extends from an opening in the upper housing for user operation of the handle. The biasing means is a toggle spring positioned in the lower housing, and the assembly further includes a toggle arm extending from the toggle handle which contacts at least a portion of the toggle spring when the toggle handle is moved between the first and second positions. The toggle spring is a flat spring member located in a channel and supported on substantially distal ends by a pair of support arms. The toggle arm makes contact with substantially the middle of the spring member through a predetermined arc defined by the rotational movement of the toggle arm.

The base has a bottom pair of terminals downwardly extending that are hermetically sealed because they are integrally formed as part of the base, while the same terminals extend upwardly from the top of the base, and are in the form of spring contacts. The housing has a pair of apertured extensions that receive a pair of pins located on the housing. The cap includes internal stops that push the spring contacts together when the cap is acted upon while in a pivotable position so that contact pieces on the springs complete the circuit. When the housing is in a non-movable position, the spring contacts and contact pieces are hermetically sealed by the housing acting against a shoulder on the base.

摘要： A connector receptacle is provided with one flat external side for application to a printed circuit board. The connector receptacle has enclosing guiding walls terminating in a latch element. At least a pair of conductive female connectors are provided within slots in the connector receptacle. Each of these pieces providing the connectors consists of a pair of aligned female conductors integral with a pin connector support interconnected through a bridge and is formed of a single piece of sheet metal. The bridge also extends between the aligned pair of female conductors and supports a transversely extending spring tab which is used to enter a transverse slot in the connector receptacle to hold the integral piece in place. The female connector pieces are reversible for use in the slots provided on opposite sides of the connector receptacle. The circuit breaker, having electric terminal connectors which cooperate with the female connectors of the receptacle, is modified to provide a latch element extending in the direction of the terminal connectors from the circuit breaker and cooperative with the latch element on the connector receptacle to engage and hold the circuit breaker in position with the terminal connectors engaged with the female connectors of the connector receptacle.

摘要： A slide switch has a switch operating member at its upper surface which is slid back and forth for operating the slide switch. An adapter is provided for operating this slide switch from the side, and has a main body which has a base and clamp members extending from opposite sides of the base to define a space between them, the clamp members being adapted to grip the slide switch between them so as to secure the adapter on the top of the slide switch with the slide switch being held at least partly in the space between the clamp members. The adapter has an actuator pivotally fixed to the main body, and this actuator has a lever portion which protrudes out from the main body to the side and an actuation portion which, with the slide switch held between the clamp members, engages with the switch operating member of the slide switch, so as to slide it as the actuator is pivoted with respect to the main body. As a result, the slide switch, which ordinarily is for operation from its top, can be converted to be operated from its side.
