    摘要: An easy-to-design rotary operation type electronic component is provided. The component includes a columnar control shaft; a shaft supporter having a circular through shaft hole; an electrical signal control section which is attached to one end of the shaft supporter and allows an electrical signal to be controlled by rotary operation of the control shaft; and a cylindrical spring which is held in a spring holding space formed between the outer periphery of the control shaft and the inner periphery of the through shaft hole, and has a ring shape with an opening cut in the direction of the central axis. The cylindrical spring includes a plurality of leaf spring portions which extend in the direction of the central axis of the control shaft, are connected together in the circumferential direction of the control shaft, and are arranged on the outer periphery of the control shaft.

    摘要: A rotary control assembly (200) for a handheld two-way radio (100) provides improved tactile feedback in the form of clicks, even during gloved usage. Assembly (200) includes a housing having a large control knob (108), a rotary switch control (202) having a shaft (204), a shaft extender (206) having a toothed gear element (210), and a ball plunger (302). As the control knob (108) is rotated, the shaft extender (206), toothed gear element (210) and shaft (204), all turn in cooperation. The toothed gear element (210) is loaded by the ball plunger thereby generating a clicking tactile feedback in response to the control knob (108) being rotated. A large control knob (108), suitable for a ruggedized environment, can thus be used in conjunction with a small rotary switch control (202) for improved tactile feedback while maximizing internal space efficiency.

    摘要: A rotating operation type electronic component has a rotation shaft and a signal generating section. The rotation shaft has a rod-shaped intermediate section, a cylindrical operation section, and a coupling section coupling the upper end of the intermediate section with the operation section. The rotatable operation section covers the upper part of the intermediate section, and is mounted with an operation knob. The signal generating section generates an electric signal in response to the rotation of the operation section. The coupling section has strength at which it breaks when a load of a predetermined level or higher is applied to the operation section from an axial direction of the rotation shaft.

    摘要: A universal dimmer switch knob is provided having an inner bore to receive an intermediate member. A plurality of intermediate members are provided in a kit, such that a user may select a particular one of the intermediate members to correspond to a particular dimmer switch shaft. The intermediate member preferably has a non-cylindrical outer periphery and the knob has a non-cylindrical inner bore. The intermediate member is generally A-shaped with a central apex lobe and two side lobes. The lobes are received in notches in the knob. When the knob is turned, the lobes and notches resist slippage between the knob and the intermediate member.

The mechanical control head system includes a mounting plate, a faceplate, at least two user-adjustable actuators, at least two function interfaces and connections between the function interfaces and the HVAC module. The knobs provide the user a means to control, for example, the ambient temperature in the vehicle interior and the outside air circulation within the vehicle. The rotary cylinders can be coupled and uncoupled to the knobs in a single step instead of requiring individual steps for each knob.
