摘要: A magnetic flow switch (1) is described that includes a body (2) defining a chamber (20) destined to have a fluid flow pass through it, an excitation magnet (4) placed in a shuttle (3) mounted such that it can slide within the chamber (20) of the body to pass from an initial front position to a final rear position, a Reed switch (6) arranged on the body (2) of the flow switch to detect the magnetic field generated by the displacement of the excitation magnet (4) and to accordingly send a control signal to an electronic control board, and at least one attraction magnet (7) arranged on the body (2) of the flow switch, in a position such as to generate an attraction magnetic field able to attract the excitation magnet (4) to make the shuttle (3) move to the initial front position.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for monitoring an air supply flow or a volumetric air flow, in particular for ventilators which can also be applied for extremely low flow speeds and/or throughput rates. The aim of the invention is to produce a device cheaply and simply with essentially wear-free components which reacts to changes in the flow speed and/or the throughput rate without a time delay. Said aim is achieved, whereby the device comprises an approach flow device, the position of which may be altered relative to a mounting, against a retaining force FM and which may be impinged by the air flow for monitoring to generate a change in the position thereof. Furthermore, magnetic devices for the generation of a magnetic field dependent on the position of the approach flow device, detection means for recording the magnetic field and measuring means for generation of a measured signal dependent on the magnetic field are provided. The magnetic field forms at least a part of the retaining force FM.

摘要: A flow switch for a high pressure washing system or other flow-related system is disclosed. The flow switch switches from an open to a closed position in the presence of adequate flow in a water or other fluid-carrying pipe. The flow switch includes a housing with an inlet port and an outlet port which allows fluid to flow through the housing. Within the housing is a plunger with an attached magnet. The plunger is responsive to fluid flow. A retainer ensures that the plunger remains within the housing. A sensor is situated proximate to the housing. A sensor magnet is placed in position near the sensor and opposes the plunger magnet. When there is no flow within the housing, the plunger is at its rest position as it is repelled by the sensor magnet. When a threshold rate of flow is present, the pressure from the flow overcomes the repellant force of the magnets and the plunger is moved to its secondary position. In this position, the plunger magnet trips the sensor. In some embodiments, a display unit visually indicates that the microswitch has been triggered. In some embodiments a third magnetnullthe alignment magnetnullis placed proximate to the housing. The alignment magnet attracts the plunger magnet so when flow is absent, the plunger is correctly aligned and positioned within the housing.

摘要: A flow switch for a high pressure washing system or other flow-related system is disclosed. The flow switch switches from an open to a closed position in the presence of adequate flow in a water or other fluid-carrying pipe. The flow switch includes a cartridge body, a sensor, a plunger, a magnet, and a spring. The cartridge body has an inlet port and an outlet port which allows fluid to flow into the cartridge body, through a flow chamber, and out of the cartridge body. The cartridge body also has a sensor chamber for accommodating the sensor. The sensor is positioned within the sensor chamber and is used to determine whether fluid is flowing through the flow chamber. A plunger is positioned within the flow chamber, and is responsive to fluid flow. Between the plunger and the sensor is a spring. The spring prevents the plunger from coming in close proximity to the sensor absent fluid flow. However, when there is fluid flow, the spring is compressed and the plunger comes in close proximity to the sensor and communicates with the sensor to allow the sensor to determine that fluid is flowing through the flow chamber. The flow switch can also include a housing, which accommodates the cartridge, sensor, plunger, and spring.

摘要: A fluid flow rate responsive signal generator includes moveable members which, in part, define a pair of paths for the flow of fluid. A first of the moveable members is a shuttle which supports a magnetic field generator, the shuttle being displaced toward a proximity switch in response to fluid flow. The second moveable member functions as a valve which, when in the open condition, allows flow to bypass the flow path in which the shuttle is disposed. The bypass flow path control valve member will be automatically positioned as a function of the dynamic flow conditions and may be either normally closed or prepositioned to define a minimum bypass flow path area.

摘要: A liquid flow switch apparatus is provided for connection to ducting wherein liquid flows forwardly. The apparatus comprises: a support body connectible to the ducting; a stem carried by the body to project into a liquid flow zone in the ducting, and a magnetically responsive switch in the stem; a cantilevered arm carried by the body to project into the flow zone upstream of the stem and to be deflected downstream into supported relation with the stem in response to flow impingement on the arm; and a magnet carried by the arm to be displaced by the stem deflection into sufficiently close proximity with the stem and the switch as to effect switch operation.

摘要: The invention contemplates a flow-switch construction of the straight flow-through variety wherein a magnet-bearing piston is displaced in response to a hydraulic-flow condition and in the displacement is caused to operate a magnetic-reed switch. The piston has piloted guidance in a first longitudinal portion of an elongate bore but is characterized by one or more straight channels in its periphery, whereby the piston per se constitutes relatively little restriction to flow; the downstream end of the piston carries a metering disc which substantially resists channel flow as long as the metering disc has predetermined close-clearance relation with the first longitudinal portion of the bore. Immediately downstream from the first longitudinal portion, the bore is substantially enlarged in a second longitudinal portion, whereby upon piston displacement such as to advance the metering disc into the second longitudinal portion, the metering disc is by-passed and unrestricted straight-through flow proceeds to the outlet end of the bore.

摘要: A fluid flow detection device includes a fluid conduit, at least one magnet translatable by action of the flow of fluid (gas or liquid) in said conduit and a switch which is caused to change state between "on" and "off" relative to the position of the magnet in the conduit. The switch includes several embodiments as does the support for the at least one magnet. In one embodiment the conduit must be positioned in a vertical position in other embodiments the conduit can take any attitude position. A shut off valve can be employed in combination with the flow detection device.
