The temperature switch includes a bimetal that is deformed when the temperature of the heater reaches set temperature, a switch mechanism that is opened and closed by deformation of the bimetal, and a housing member that houses the bimetal and the switch mechanism, and that is able to conduct heat to the bimetal. The heater includes a pair of heat generation units that is adjacent to each other. The housing member includes a contact portion that is formed to project and that is inserted between the pair of heat generation units.

摘要： A new type of high temperature thermal disconnect has been developed to protect electrical and mechanical equipment from damage caused by operation at extreme temperatures. These thermal disconnects allow continuous operation at temperatures ranging from 250.degree. C. to 450.degree. C., while rapidly terminating operation at temperatures 50.degree. C. to 150.degree. C. higher than the continuous operating temperature.

摘要： A sealed thermostatic electric switch has a heat responsive thermostatic element disposed in good heat transfer relationship with the closed end of a heat conductive cup shaped member. The side wall of the cup shaped member extends upwardly from the closed end and is spaced a selected distance from the housing of the switch. A plastic sleeve has one end tightly received over the side wall and adhesively secured thereto and another end closed except for a tubular portion extending therefrom with electrical leads of the switch extending from the switch through and beyond the tubular portion. The tubular portion has opposed wall portions which are in contact and coalesced with each other and with the aligned plastic insulation of the leads to effectively seal the tubular portion of the sleeve.A mounting plate is welded to the bottom outer surface of the cup shaped member which interfits with a strap or clip for attachment to a surface whose temperature is to be monitored. In one embodiment a clip is provided with tabs receivable in slots formed between the mounting plate and the cup shaped member. The clip has downwardly depending opposed legs adapted to springingly receive therebetween a tubular conduit whose temperature is to be monitored. In other embodiments the mounting strap extends along the bottom surface of the cup shaped member and is captured there by the mounting plate.

摘要： A detector thermostat for fire detection systems is disclosed. Such detector thermostat includes a bimetal snap disc thermostat having a metallic disc cup which supports the snap disc. A heat collector is mounted on the disc cup in good heat transfer relationship therewith. The collector provides a flange formed with concentric circular convolutions and a circular array of projections cut from the material of the flange and extending substantially perpendicular to the flange. The projections are positioned around the disc cup and provide improved sensitivity to the flow of hot air and gases in a direction parallel to the plane of the flange.

摘要： A temperature responsive regulator switch for controlling the heat of an electric heating device, comprises movable and stationary electric contacts cooperating with one another for assuming open and closed positions and a bimetal operatively coupled to the movable contact for moving it into the open position when the bimetal attains a predetermined temperature. The bimetal is heated by electric current passing therethrough solely in the closed position. The regulator switch further has a heat conductor having a first part adapted to be directly exposed to the heat of the device controlled by the temperature responsive regulator switch and a second part being in a heat-conducting connection with the bimetal for heating the bimetal by the heat generated by the device.
