    摘要： A power supply switch comprising a power input assembly receiving power from a power source, a power output assembly connected to an appliance and a control circuit between the power input assembly and power output assembly. The control circuit comprises a switch having an open position and a closed position and being manually resettable by a user to the closed position, wherein power is supplied from the power input assembly to the power output assembly when the switch is in the closed position; a current detection circuit sensing a current passing from the power input assembly to the power output assembly, the current detection circuit outputting an activation signal indicative of the presence of the sensed current; and a timer circuit receiving the activation signal and automatically activating a timer in response, wherein the timer sends a signal to the switch causing the switch to move to the open position after a delay time.

    摘要： A solid state appliance controller includes circuitry formed on a circuit board, the circuitry defining a voltage trace in communication with a voltage source, a first state trace, and a second state trace. The first and second state traces are in communication with a processor. A user selection knob is operative to allow a user to select an operating mode of the appliance by rotating the user selection knob. A wiper assembly is coupled to the user selection knob for rotation therewith. The wiper assembly has a voltage finger operative to be in contact with the voltage trace so as to continuously receive a voltage therefrom during rotation of the selection knob. A first finger is operative to intermittently contact the first trace in accordance with a first pattern thereof wherein contact provides the voltage to the first trace during rotation of the selection knob. A second finger is operative to intermittently contact the second trace in accordance with a second pattern thereof wherein contact provides the voltage to the second trace during rotation of the selection knob. The processor is operative to receive voltages from the first and second traces in accordance with the intermittent contact of the first and second fingers with the intermittent voltages from the first and second traces respectively defining a plurality of state changes.

    摘要： A control device that can be mounted against the face plate of a rocker switch automatically operates the rocker switch in accordance with at least one predetermined program. The device also allows the predetermined program to be overridden to manipulate the switch as desired without removing the device. The device includes a controller for activating the device according to parameters of the predetermined program; a power component that is responsive to the controller; and a rotating member that is rotated by the power component with respect to the switch. The rotating member includes an inclined plane extending from a surface thereof and adapted to abut the rocker. When the inclined plane abuts a first portion of the rocker, the switch is placed in an opened position, and when the inclined plane abuts a second portion of the rocker, the switch is placed in a closed position.
