Abstract:
A rotary electrical switch comprises a housing having a first rotary contact space for accommodating a rotary contact and a plurality of stationary contact spaces for selectively accommodating at least one stationary contact. The housing comprises one or more closing elements for closing one or more of the stationary contact spaces not in use for accommodating a stationary contact. Another aspect comprises a locking spring member having a first portion being a resilient spring member configured for releasably engaging a locking member, while a second portion is configured for mechanically coupling to a spindle portion for imparting a rotational force on at least one rotary contact of the switch.
Abstract:
A roll for rotating a movable contact of a rotary switch, and a method of mounting a switch are provided. The roll includes a first slot going along the diameter of the roll and open from the top of the roll for receiving the movable contact for contacting with a stationary contact of the rotary switch, and a second slot arranged perpendicular to the first slot for receiving teeth of an upper roll to be mounted together with the roll.
Abstract:
A rotary operation unit capable of reducing operation sounds without lowering operability and operation feeling. A rotary operation member of the rotary operation unit is supported for rotary operation by a dial base and is formed with a receiving recess. In the receiving recess, a click ball is received in a state being in contact with concave-convex portions formed in the dial base at intervals of a predetermined angle in order to provide a click feeling, and a click spring for urging the click ball is also received. A dial cap is attached to the rotary operation member such as to close an opening face of the receiving recess of the rotary operation member, whereby the receiving recess is tightly closed by the dial base and the dial cap.
Abstract:
A movable contact of a rotary switch, including a pair of contact blades for making an electrical contact to a stationary contact receivable between the contact blades. The movable contact includes a traction member for providing a traction force between the contact blades, wherein the traction member is a unitary piece including two frame portions for framing the pair of contact blades, the traction member including a spring portion for pressing one of the contact blades against the other contact blade, wherein the spring portion is arranged between the two frame portions arranged at a distance from each other.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a washing machine, a control panel assembly of which has an improved structure to minimize problems caused by a shaking of a rotary knob and the interference of the rotary knob with other surrounding parts. The control panel assembly of the washing machine includes a control panel, a knob guide installed on the control panel, and a rotary knob rotatably mounted on the knob guide and including a boss passing through the knob guide. The knob guide includes a boss insertion part restricting the boss to prevent the rotary knob from shaking. The boss insertion part includes an extension extended from the bottom surface of the knob guide and forming a boss insertion hole, into which the boss is inserted, therein.

Abstract:
A rotation mechanism for a rotary switch and a method of operating a rotary switch are provided. The rotation mechanism includes a mechanism shaft for switching the switch between open and closed positions of the switch, a crank rotationally connected to the mechanism shaft, a spring connected to the crank, where the spring has a dead point between the open and closed positions of the switch, and a force transmission roll rotationally connected to the crank. The mechanism shaft, crank and force transmission roll have a common axis of rotation. There is a predetermined rotational free-play between the rotation of the mechanism shaft and the crank, and a predetermined rotational free-play between the rotation of the crank and the force transmission roll.
