    摘要: A radiation containment apparatus comprising a source of radiation having an area from which radiation is emitted, and a vinyl polymer sheet generally arranged about the area from which radiation is emitted in a manner so as to receive the radiation. The source of radiation is a cathode ray tube. The vinyl polymer sheet is a clear sheet of polyvinyl chloride. An enclosure made up of polyvinyl chloride sheets generally surround the source of radiation. A plurality of fasteners are arranged about the periphery of the cathode ray tube so as to receive the polyvinyl chloride sheet. The polyvinyl chloride sheet also includes notches about the outer edges for engaging the fasteners on the cathode ray tube.

    摘要: A cathode ray tube mounting means includes a front panel member having an opening through which a cathode ray tube is passed, and it has projections on its funnel section that mate with wedging members movably mounted in the panel member. A bezel having an implosion shield means therein is secured onto the front panel member and the wedging members are secured into position thereby moving the faceplate of the cathode ray tube into tight engagement with the implosion shield means. Lighting means is disposed between the front panel member and the bezel adjacent the faceplate to effectively light the graticule scale of the cathode ray tube screen and to permit easy replacement of light bulbs. A connecting means is also provided for electrically connecting a camera to the circuitry within the electronic instrument containing the cathode ray tube.

    摘要: An image display device having an image transmissive faceplate with an exterior surface spaced from a light filtering layer of uniform thickness on a protective transparent panel by an encircling sealed gasket to form an interposed cavity which is filled with image transmissive bonding material. A method comprising the steps of (1) casting an annular gasket in encircling sealed relationship with an implosion panel, (2) depositing within the annular gasket and on the encircled panel a uniform thickness layer of light-filtering material, (3) sealing the gasket to an outer marginal portion of a display tube faceplate to form a cavity between the faceplate and the layer of light-filtering material on the implosion panel, and (4) filling the cavity with light transmissive bonding material.
