    摘要: A sequential actuator for a radio frequency switch includes a rotor designed to be rotated in a designated rotational direction of the actuator and a stator defining with the rotor when the stator is energized an active torque curve of the rotor having asymmetric positive and negative torque curve portions. Magnetic elements are distributed between the rotor and the stator and define a detent torque curve of the rotor. In some examples, when the stator is energized, the rotor undergoes a first rotation from a position of partial angular overlap of a first rotor magnetic element with a first stator electromagnet to a position of angular alignment of the first rotor magnetic element with the first stator electromagnet. Upon reaching this angular position, a second rotor magnetic element has a partial angular overlap with a second stator electromagnet and the rotor further undergoes a second rotation to another position of angular alignment of the second rotor magnetic element with the second stator electromagnet.

    摘要: A positioning mechanism for moving a cylinder axially and rotationally is adapted for a printer which has a cylindrical type carrier on which the dies are arranged in intersecting rows and columns. A first electrically conductive coil is coaxial with and mounted on one end portion of the cylinder. A second electrically conductive coil has an axis perpendicular to the axis of and is mounted on the other end portion of the cylinder. A pair of permanent magnets are positioned about opposite end portions of the cylinder such that each coil is disposed for magnetic coupling in the magnetic flux field of a corresponding magnet. By selectively energizing the coils, magnetic effects are produced thereabout for coaction with the permanent magnetic flux fields simultaneously to drive the cylinder axially of and angularly about its axis. A feed back system for sensing the instantaneous longitudinal and angular positions of the cylinder is adapted simultaneously to provide electrical effects, whereby from any axial and angular conditions the cylinder can be driven to any other selected axial and angular conditions.

The step motor includes a rotor that includes a rotation shaft and a plurality of permanent magnets and is configured to rotate by magnetic interaction between the stator cores and the permanent magnets. The step motor also includes a plurality of conducting parts on one cross-sectional surface of the rotor. The step motor further includes a printed circuit board (PCB) including electric elements that are arranged at certain positions and are disposed to face the conducting parts. The conducting parts and the electric elements are configured to electrically or magnetically interact as the rotor rotates to change electrical signals generated by the electric elements.

The rotor need not contain any permanent disk magnet. If one is provided, it can be completely embedded within the rotor and merely supplement the primary flux from the stator to enhance torque. In most cases, where the rotor lacks any permanent magnet, the motor's axial shaft can have a larger diameter and may, together with the rotor, form a linear actuator.
