Inductors L1 to L4 for attenuating a common mode noise are connected between connection points of the capacitors Co/2 and Co/2 or Co and Co connected in series, and a ground potential, so that attenuation poles are formed for attenuating the common mode noise together with the capacitors Co/2 and Co.

摘要: A non-linear dispersive transmission line includes a plurality of substantially block-like shaped capacitor elements (4) arranged in sequence in at least two arrays. The even numbered elements (4b, 4d etc) extend side by side to form a first array and the odd numbered elements (4a, 4c) etc extend side by side to form the second array. Each element (4) in one array is connected via inductors (3) to two immediately adjacent elements in the other array. Facing surfaces (5) of each two immediately adjacent elements (4a, 4c) in each array form cross link capacitors.

摘要: A low profile high speed electromagnetic delay line capable of long delay times and transmitting signals having rise times less than approximately one nanosecond is described. The electromagnetic delay line is of a single in-line package configuration, but of such a configuration that commercial production is facilitated. A coil assembly has input and output and intermediate terminals extending from the same side of the coil assembly to be connected to flat electrodes on an insulating plate. These connections all occur on the same edge of the insulating plate. At a second opposed edge of the insulating plate are connected terminals leading to external circuits. The various electrodes which receive the coil connections are also connected to the individual capacitors of an elongated flat plate capacitor, and these electrodes are in turn connected to the external connections.

The delay line device further includes capacitors connected to the connecting portions of the conductive plates; and coils having taps connected to electrodes provided on cores and connected to the terminals of the conductive plates, the coils being mounted on the other surface of the base plate.

摘要: An electromagnetic delay line of novel construction is disclosed which comprises an inductance element having a conductor wound as regularly spaced in the form of a single-layer solenoid and a plurality of capacitors inserted to connect the conductor of the inductance element and a ground after a ladder network. The construction is characterized in that the capacitors are connected one each to a plurality of points per turn of the conductor so as to give rise to a plurality of sections for each turn of the conductor. The electromagnetic delay line thus constructed, therefore, is very compact and exhibits a very quick rise of not more than 1 ns.

摘要: Disclosed is a passive delay network for insertion in the high frequency signal path of a crossover network in a high fidelity loudspeaker. The delay network provides means to adjust the optimum listening window electrically rather than by changes in the physical construction of the speaker cabinet. Electro-acoustic high frequency and low frequency drivers may be mounted in a planar baffle or mounted co-axially. The delay network retains a "flat" amplitude-frequency characteristic and minimizes time dispersion in the acoustic signal received by the listener. Correction for time delay is most important near the transition frequency of the crossover network because near the transition frequency substantially equal sound energy is radiated by both the high frequency and low frequency drivers.Also disclosed is a novel construction for a co-axial driver combination and a technique for adjusting both the delay in the electric delay line network and the air path delay of electroacoustic drivers. The co-axial drivers include sound absorbent means preventing direct sound radiation between the low and high frequency drivers. The adjustment technique comprises a method of experimentally testing and adjusting the mutual inductances in the electric delay line and the air path delay.
