摘要: A driving arrangement is provided for driving a load, comprising a driver input for receiving an input power and a driver output to be coupled to the load. A high frequency switch mode PFC converter converts the input power to a PFC converter power and a high frequency switch mode regulator has an output connected in series with the output of the PFC converter. A superimposed power from the PFC converter and the regulator with synchronized high frequency switching is provided to the load. This enables a high frequency ripple to be at least partially cancelled. Wherein the charging phase of the PFC converter at least partially overlaps with the first phase of the regulator in which phase the regulated power increases.

For example, the system for controlling a bleeder current to increase a power factor of an LED lighting system without any TRIAC dimmer includes: a first current controller configured to receive a rectified voltage generated by a rectifier that directly receives an AC input voltage without through any TRIAC dimmer; and a second current controller configured to: control a light emitting diode current flowing through one or more light emitting diodes that receive the rectified voltage not clipped by any TRIAC dimmer; and generate a sensing voltage based at least in part upon the light emitting diode current, the sensing voltage representing the light emitting diode current in magnitude.

摘要: A load control device for controlling the amount of power delivered to an electrical load (e.g., an LED light source) includes first and second semiconductor switches, a transformer, a capacitor, a controller, and a current sense circuit operable to receive a sense voltage representative of a primary current conducted through a primary winding of the transformer. The primary winding is coupled in series with a semiconductor switch, while a secondary winding is adapted to be operatively coupled to the load. The capacitor is electrically coupled between the junction of the first and second semiconductor switches and the primary winding. The current sense circuit receives a sense voltage and averages the sense voltage when the first semiconductor switch is conductive, so as to generate a load current control signal that is representative of a real component of a load current conducted through the load.

摘要: The invention concerns a lighting arrangement having at least two light strings, each light string comprising at least one optoelectronic component configured for a power consumption in operation of more than 8 W. A couple of adjustable current sources are connected to a respective one of the at least two light strings and configured to provide an adjustable supply current to respective one of the at least two light strings. The arrangement further comprises an AC/DC converter utilizing GaN based FET technology configured to provide a DC supply voltage to the at least two adjustable current sources and the respective light strings connected thereto. Finally, a control circuit is coupled to the at least two adjustable current sources and configured to individually adjust a duty cycle for each of the at least two adjustable current sources and the supply current provided by the at least two adjustable current sources.

The method includes: acquiring optimized channel current on each of other LED substring branches other than a non-maximum conduction branch; calculating, according to the optimized channel current, the number of cycles of conducting PWM of each LED substring branch in one frame of a frame synchronizing signal as the number of cycles of the optimized conducting PWM; and adjusting a channel current of each LED substring branch to be a corresponding optimized channel current, and adjusting the number of cycles of a conducting PWM of each LED substring branch to be the number of cycles of the optimized conducting PWM.
