摘要: A power supply unit includes a power supply and a converter. The converter performs operation selected from the group consisting of boosting and stepping down of an output voltage of the power supply; and includes a reactor in which n-phase coils are magnetically coupled to each other, n-phase switches, and a control unit. The control unit controls duty cycles of the n-phase switches; monitors a current value flowing through the n-phase coils; and performs phase switching control when the control unit determines that an operation condition described below is satisfied, the phase switching control being control in which the control unit performs phase switching from in phase to out of phase in the case where the n-phase switches are being driven in phase and performs phase switching from out of phase to in phase in the case where the n-phase switches are being driven out of phase.

摘要: A power conversion system includes a first direct current to alternating current (DC-AC) inverter, a second DC-AC inverter, an inverter controller, a direct current (DC)-link circuit connecting the first DC-AC inverter and the second DC-AC inverter, a neutral-point balancer (NPB), an NPB circuit, and an NPB controller. The inverter controller is configured to provide a pulse-width modulation (PWM), signal to the first DC-AC inverter and the second DC-AC inverter. The NPB circuit is configured to reduce low frequency current oscillations in the DC-link circuit by switching between a first state for transferring charge from a positive voltage line to a neutral voltage line, and a second state for transferring charge from the neutral voltage line to a negative voltage line. The NPB controller is configured to control the switching of the NPB circuit and is synchronized with the PWM signal from the inverter controller.

摘要: A transmitter end includes a transmitter coil. The transmitter end further includes a transmitter end control system and N energy management modules, where N is an integer greater than 1. Input ends of the N energy management modules are electrically connected to a power grid, and output ends of the N energy management modules are electrically connected to the transmitter coil. Each energy management module includes an AC-DC circuit, an inverter circuit, and a transformer. The transmitter end control system is electrically connected to the inverter circuits in the N energy management modules, and is configured to output synchronous phase shift control signals with a fixed duty cycle, to drive the inverter circuits to work synchronously. The energy management module may be used in the transmitter end, and form a smallest module.

摘要: A power converter includes: a solid-state transformer having a DC input and isolated DC outputs; a half bridge converter stage for each isolated DC output of the solid-state transformer, wherein an input of each half bridge converter stage is connected to the corresponding isolated DC output and an output of the half bridge converter stages are electrically connected in a cascade configuration; an output inductor shared by the half bridge converter stages and configured to deliver an output current; and a controller configured to implement phase shift control of the half bridge converter stages relative to one another, based on the number of half bridge converter stages and an output voltage of the power converter being regulated, such that each half bridge converter stage processes the full output current but only a fraction of the output voltage. Methods of controlling the power converter are also described.

In one aspect, the converter includes a multi-phase transformer having a primary circuit and a secondary circuit magnetically coupled to the primary circuit, the primary circuit having a first quantity of terminals, and the secondary circuit having a second quantity of terminals; a third quantity of blocking capacitors, each being electrically connected in series to a respective one of the terminals of the primary circuit; and a fourth quantity of blocking capacitors, each being electrically connected in series to a respective one of the terminals of the secondary circuit. The third quantity is one less than the first quantity. The fourth quantity is one less than the second quantity.

摘要: A power conversion device includes a power converter including a plurality of arms and a control device to control voltages of a plurality of sub modules by PWM control using a carrier signal for each sub module. The sub module includes a plurality of switching elements, a power storage element, a pair of output terminals, and a bypass switch. When the control device detects failure of a sub module in an arm, it performs stop processing for stopping a switching operation of the plurality of switching elements included in at least one sub module of the plurality of sub modules in the arm and has the sub module failure of which was detected bypassed. After the control device performs the stop processing, it equalizes intervals among phases of carrier signals of a plurality of normal sub modules in the arm caused by failure of the sub module.
