摘要： An articulating solar panel mount comprising a slim profile lower frame that rests on and is affixable to a roof, and a spring-actuated upper frame that is hinged on one side. A solar panel may be attached to the topside of the hinged frame. The mount includes an indexable latching mechanism comprising a reversible quick release that can be adjusted to be accessed from either direction depending on installation needs. The latching release mechanism is designed to allow for “daisy chaining” multiple frames in succession, which allows for creation of a walkway/path through the solar array. The hinged solar frame may be over sprung to self-open, accounting for the weight of the solar panel and the frame itself.

摘要： A retention apparatus, system and method is useful for attaching items, panels or other devices to a rail formed in longitudinal lengths and configured with a cross-sectional profile having multiple cooperating structures between the rail and a channel nut. Self-aligning, mating structures include a recess formed between a tooth and shelf on an interior first channel portion of the rail and a flange of the channel nut with concurrent mating of an anchor latch of the rail and a hook flange on the channel nut. Latching of the channel nut is accomplished initially by compression of the biasing element as the channel nut is inserted and then, upon release, biasing element-induced movement of the channel nut into a latching position. Grounding spikes on the biasing element form electrical contact points between the rail, the clamp and the frame of the solar panel or other device.

摘要： Disclosed are methods and devices for securing a solar panel racking system to a tile roof, without removing roof tiles. The devices and method in combination may operate under severe weather conditions such as hurricanes, typhoons, and other tropical cyclones. An installer positions a stanchion through a hole in one of the roof tiles in the tile roof and onto a layer of polyurethane foam positioned over a layer of waterproof roof adhesive sealant. The installer extends the threaded fasteners obliquely through the stanchion, the layer of polyurethane foam, and the layer of waterproof roof adhesive sealant into the roof deck. The waterproof adhesive sealant bonds to the roof underlayment and creates a waterproof seal between the threaded fasteners and the roof deck.

摘要： The present invention relates to a panel clamp securable to a variety of mounting mechanisms. The clamp includes first and second members, each having an edge extending beyond at least a portion of its side surface to form an overhang, and each includes a plurality of holes passing therethrough. When the overhang of the first member is fitted over a top surface of a panel and the overhang of the second member is fitted over a bottom surface of the panel, such that the plurality of holes in the first member is substantially aligned with the plurality of holes in the second member, mechanical fasteners can be inserted through the plurality of holes to secure the first and second members to the panel. An additional mechanical fastener is inserted through the clamp to secure the clamp to a mounting mechanism.
