摘要： An underground fluid storage tank hold-down system for holding down an underground cylindrical fluid storage tank in a hole that has been excavated, the underground tank hold-down system comprising a multiplicity of paired hold-down straps having a first end and a second end. A multiplicity of paired deadmen anchors are adapted to be placed to either side of the tank when the tank is in the hole. The deadmen anchors each have anchor upstanding loops. A tank hold-down assembly is provided comprising a take-up coupler assembly having a pair of arched sections, having hooks thereon, including a first arched section and a second arched section and a threaded engagement assembly. The threaded engagement assembly includes a threaded member and a receiving member adapted to receive part of the threaded member. The straps engage the hooks and the anchor upstanding loops.

A locking ring comprises a divided annular band fitted with tab members configured to accept a variety of ring fasteners. The tab members support a variety of ring fastener and fastener receiver assemblies, and have complementary mating surfaces that substantially mate around the head of an installed meter so that the locking ring is tamper-resistant. The ring fastener and fastener receiver have a number of complementary apertures disposed to receive either wire seals or other locking mechanisms.

摘要： A sealing ring for an electric watthour meter apparatus has first and second housings mounted on opposed ends of an annular band. A fastener extends through a threaded aperture in an end wall of one housing into threaded engagement with an aperture in an end wall of the opposed housing to fixedly engage the ends of the sealing ring. A plurality of radially intersecting slots in one end of the fastener are alignable with apertures in one of a plurality of side walls of one of the housings for receiving a security device. Screwdriver receiving slots are formed in each of the first and second ends of the fasteners. An axial slot is formed in the second end of the fastener and alignable with apertures in the side walls of the other housing for receiving a security device. An enlarged head end on the fastener enables finger rotation of the fastener. The end walls have an elongated upper end forming a finger grip surface to facilitate movement of the first and second housings toward each other. Bendable mounting tabs extend from the first and second housings into slots in the annular band to fixedly mount the housings to the annular band. Alternately, a notched projection formed on a bottom wall of a cast housing engages an edge of a slot in the annular band and cooperates with a fastener extending through the bottom wall of the housing and the annular band to securely fix the housing to the annular band.

摘要： A manhole cover lock is provided employing two units diametrically situated and extending through openings in the manhole cover. The units engage a projection of the manhole cover housing to prevent the removal of the manhole cover when the units are in position. The units comprise a cylindrical body having a yoke at one end, a locking plate pivotally mounted in the yoke, with a flanged face opposite the yoke, and having a central recess. Extending through the body is an eccentric bore, in which a rod is housed, cooperating with said locking plate to provide a dog lock. A threaded bolt having a keyed head is threaded into a threaded axial bore in said body to prevent axial movement of said rod. An alternate embodiment of the threaded bolt includes modification of the head of the threaded bolt to allow the head to receive a special wrench for firmly tightening the threaded bolt thereby additionally securing the manhole lock in position.
