    摘要: An open end of a hollow cylindrical body receives part of a cylindrical component, where the hollow cylindrical body and the cylindrical component each having a groove, the grooves being aligned when the cylindrical component is in its intended final position with respect to the hollow cylindrical body, so that a locking ring is captured by the two grooves. The cylindrical component works together with the hollow cylindrical body to form a ring-shaped space, which extends from one of the two grooves toward the open end of the hollow cylindrical body, thus offering access for a tool to move the locking ring into its intended final position.

    摘要: Collet includes a housing having a wall with external and internal surfaces, having opposing ends, and having an internal hollow portion with at least one opening; and a flap internal of the opposing ends of the housing in the wall and over part of the internal hollow portion of the housing such that, when a suitably firm force is applied from external to the flap, a suitable object such as a rotary tool bit inserted in the internal hollow portion of the housing through the at least one opening can be held securely in place at least partly inside the housing by the flap. The flap may be provided, for example, by two radial slits which may extend into the wall to coincide with the diameter of the housing and which are connected to one axially directed slit. Seal(s), for example, O-ring(s), may be provided between the flap and either end or both ends of the housing and/or internally between the tool shaft and internal collet wall. The collet can be assembled with a collet holder and rotary bit. One collet holder can have a set screw recess provided to ameliorate deformation from tightening a set screw in its housing wall.

    摘要: A self-aligning, wear-resistant seal assembly is provided for a cable rod slidably positioned within a cable conduit. A rigid nylon ring which fits snugly around the rod is held against the end of the conduit by an elastomeric seal. The seal has an end wall which overlies the ring and has an axial bore aligned with the ring adapted for interference fit around the rod. Corresponding serrations on the conduit and seal cooperate to embracingly secure the seal to the rod.

    摘要: A clamping bushing for removably securing two elements on each other, for example, a pulley on a shaft, so as to be exactly coaxial. The device consists of a tubular part which is slipped, for example, loosely over the shaft and has a pair of substantially radial flanges which extend at an angle of more or less than a right angle to the tubular part and have small coaxial tubular extensions on their outer ends which are fitted tightly, for example, into a cylindrical bore in a pulley. When a pressure is applied upon a pressure fluid in the chamber formed between the flanges, the tubular part and the wall of the bore, the flanges are bent to a more erect position and thereby increase in effective length so as to connect the two elements tightly to each other.
