摘要： A method of assembling a tolerance ring between opposing surfaces of an inner and outer component arranged to mate with one another to provide an interference fit therebetween includes mounting the tolerance ring on one of the inner and outer components whereby the projections are received in a recessed portion on that component, partially mating the inner and outer components, and completing mating by causing relative movement between the tolerance ring and the recessed portion to move the projections from the recessed portion and to be compressed between the mated inner and outer components. The tolerance ring includes an annular band of resilient material for engaging an opposing surface of one of the inner and outer components. The annular band has a plurality of deformable projections extending radially therefrom to engage the opposing surface of the other one of the inner and outer components.

摘要： An eccentric-screw pump has an axially split stator having axially opposite intake and output ends and an elastomeric liner defining an axially throughgoing passage. Respective intake and output housings are releasably secured to the intake and output ends of the stator. An axially extending screw rotor in the passage has an end in the intake housing. A drive includes a rotatable universal joint having a pair of relatively swivelable parts in the intake housing. Respective generally complementary formations on the end of the rotor and on one of the universal-joint parts can fit axially together to rotationally couple the one universal-joint part with the rotor. A latch secures the formations axially together for angular force transmission between the one universal-joint part and the rotor.

摘要： A composite tension member. The composite tension member is assembled from a number of composite rods, each having two ends. A wedge plug is formed around the ends of the composite rods. The wedge plugs are inserted into termination fitting having a termination fitting body with an aperture at a proximal end for receipt of the bundle of composite rods and having an internal cavity that flares outwardly from a proximal end to a distal end to closely receive the wedge plug with the composite rods imbedded therein. A closeout nut is used to retain the wedge plug in the termination fitting body. The invention further provides method of manufacturing composite tension members.

Thus movement of the inner tube in the outer tube is selectively controlled.
