    摘要: A baler including a binding system including a twine holder including a first rotary disk including a first clamping notch forming a first knot and a second clamping notch forming a second knot, the depth of the second notch being greater than that of the first notch, a retainer adjacent a periphery of the first rotary disk, a clamping plate cooperating with the retainer to hold the twines and a drive system rotating the first rotary disk to clamp twine located in at least one of the clamping notches against the retainer. The retainer applies a greater clamping force on the twines located in the first notch than those located in the second notch. When the twines are located in the second notch, the first rotary disk rotates the twines beyond an end of the clamping plate, thereby releasing the twines from the clamping plate and the retainer.

    摘要: A baler system includes a baler controller includes a processor operable to execute a bale ejection algorithm to receive a command input to initiate a last bale ejection sequence. Upon receiving the command input, the baler controller automatically engages a knotter system to wrap and bind crop material currently disposed within a baling chamber to form a final bale. Upon forming the final bale, the baler controller automatically determines if a discharge location disposed proximate a discharge end of the baling chamber is clear of obstructions. Upon determining that the discharge end of the baling chamber is clear of obstructions, the baler controller automatically engages a bale ejection system to eject the final bale from the baling chamber and onto the discharge location.

    摘要: A torque smoothing apparatus is utilized in conjunction with a large square baler (LSB), which includes a bale chamber, a plunger mounted for reciprocation within the bale chamber, and an LSB drive line. In embodiments, the torque smoothing apparatus includes a planetary gear train and a flywheel, which is mechanically coupled to the LSB drive line through the planetary gear train. An auxiliary motor having a motor output is mechanically coupled to the LSB drive line through the planetary gear train, while a controller is operably coupled to the auxiliary motor. The controller commands the auxiliary motor to selectively apply torque to the LSB drive line such that the torque applied by the auxiliary motor, taken in combination with a torque contribution of the flywheel, reduces variations in torque demands placed on a vehicle engine as the plunger reciprocates during LSB bale formation.

    摘要: An agricultural baler includes a bale chamber for the compression of crop material into bales. The bale chamber has a floor that comprises an inlet opening. The baler also has a plunger for forcing the crop material from an inlet end of the bale chamber towards an outlet end, and a feeder duct communicating with the bale chamber through the inlet opening. The feeder duct has an upper end facing generally upwardly and communicating with the inlet opening in the bale chamber and a lower end facing generally in a forward direction. The feeder duct also has a top wall and a bottom wall extending between the lower end and the upper end of the feeder duct. The baler also has one or more actuators that are configured to move the top wall and/or the bottom wall; and a controller configured to activate the one or more actuators during a baling operation in order to adjust the volume of the feeder duct.
