摘要: An elastic member can implement functions of buffering and shock absorption while effectively supporting a vehicle body. On end of the elastic member is turned and bent towards the other end, and passes through the body of the elastic member. The turned and bent part forms a curled portion (3). Portions of the curled portion (3) extending towards two ends form a first arm (1) and a second arm (2). The curled portion (3) pre-stores deformation of a material to integrate an elastic capability of the material and specifically gather a weak elastic capability of a rigid material, thereby obtaining a higher elastic bending moment, and providing functions of buffering and shock absorption while bearing is provided. For a flexible material, the flexible material can be restrained by using the curled portion to increase rigidity and reduce randomness of deformation of the flexible material, thereby combining flexibility and rigidity.

摘要: A tandem suspension for connecting a vehicle chassis to front and rear steerable axles is provided. The tandem suspension includes, on each side of the vehicle, a front leaf spring linking the chassis and the front axle, a rear leaf spring linking the chassis and the rear axle, an equalizer assembly mounted to the chassis for equalizing the front and rear axles, a front air spring disposed between the chassis and the front axle, a rear air spring disposed between the chassis and the rear axle, and a pneumatic control system pneumatically linked to the front and rear air springs for supplying pressurised gas thereto and operable to unload one of the front and rear air springs. A method of installing a tandem suspension in a vehicle having a first steerable axle and a front leaf spring is also provided.

摘要: In a leg apparatus with which a supporting wheel for the magnetically levitated vehicle can be lifted up and down freely, a supporting wheel is positioned and hung by a swing arm and a lifting actuator. Usage of only the lifting actuator flat spring having a damper and coil spring or a combination thereof offer a buffer-supporting to enhance better comfortable feeling of riding. The leg can be completely retracted with a short stroke by a contracting action of the lifting actuator having the internal lock. Moreover the vehicle height can be adjusted. The leg apparatus is also designed and constructed in such a way that a damper or spring is installed inside the preventive wall against fire or foreign obstacles. The shock caused on the wheel when a cruising speed is changed from a high speed to a low speed can be mechanically absorbed by coil spring and damper, or coil spring, the flat spring or damper which is provided horizontally and is connected through the connecting such as the bell crank or the like, so that the operational friction force can be minimized when compared to the conventional type of the apparatus using only damper, hence the comfortable feeling of riding is enhanced.

摘要: A variable force die spring is disclosed which combines high force, short axial compression distance spring assembly, such as belleville springs, and low force, high axial compression distance springs, such as coil springs, in a telescoping casing having an internal cavity. The springs are arranged within the cavity so that upon receiving a load the low force spring will compress first resulting in a large axial compression and low force resistance. The load applied to the telescoping casing will then transition from the low force spring to the high force spring. The high force spring then compresses as the load continues to be applied. In alternative embodiments, a third intermediate spring is added that compresses moderate distances under moderate pressure thereby increasing the overall axial compression and load capacity capabilities of the spring assembly. In any embodiment, the invention results in a spring that provides high forces and low axial compression when it is nearly fully compressed and low forces and high axial compression at all other stages of compression.

摘要: A vehicle seat belt retractor (10) includes a spindle (22), a ratchet wheel (30) and a locking pawl (44). The locking pawl (44) is movable between a disengaged position and an engaged position in which it blocks rotation of the ratchet wheel (30) and the spindle (22) in an unwinding direction. The locking pawl (44) is moved into its engaged position in response to a predetermined amount of rotation of the spindle (22) in the unwinding direction. The locking pawl (44) moves back to its disengaged position in response to rotation of the spindle (22) in an unwinding direction. The retractor (10) further includes a torsion spring (210) and a leaf spring (250) acting in series between the spindle (22) and the locking pawl (44).
