摘要: A seeping irrigation system has one or more tubes or conduits, and one or more strings or threads. Each string or thread connects the tube(s) or conduit(s) by passing through the wall of tubes or conduits. At inside of tubes or conduits, the inside parts of strings or threads touch with fluid, then the fluid is seeped out through strings or threads. The parts of strings or threads at outside touch a plant material such as soil etc., so that the seeped out fluid goes into the plant material such as soil for plants use. One end of tubes or conduits has been stopped, and the second end of the tubes or conduits connects to the source of fluid.

摘要: A device for delivering a controlled dose of a fluid to an outlet from a fluid supply at an operating pressure which includes an actively operable check valve and pressure exerting means to selectively exert first and second pressures on the check valve. When one of the first and second pressures is exerted on the check valve, the valve prevents the passage of fluid at operating pressure through the outlet. When the other pressure is exerted on the check valve, the valve permits the passage of spray fluid at operating pressure. Signal generating means to generate a control signal characteristic of the fluid operating pressure, and control means derive at least one of the said first and second pressures from the control signal.

摘要: The combination of watering apparatus and a plastics bag containing a growing medium (hereinafter referred to as “grow bag”). The watering apparatus comprises an open topped vessel (1) formed with an opening (2) positioned towards its base through which water present in the vessel (1) can leave. The grow bag (4) is formed with a lengthwise extending sleeve (6) of generally inverted channel shape and is closed at each end. The sleeve (6) overlies a substantially linear array of holes (5) formed in the upper surface of the grow bag (4). In use, the opening (2) of the vessel (1) is positioned adjacent to a pierced end of the sleeve (6) so that water leaving the vessel opening (2) enters the sleeve (6) and passes through the holes (5) formed in the bag surface to water the growing medium of the grow bag (4).

摘要: A control and monitoring system for controlling the rotary atomizer of a sprayer to covert a liquid into atomized droplets which is pumped from a supply. The control and monitoring system includes component control microprocessors connected to a master control microprocessor for monitoring operating parameters of various sprayer components and controlling their operation. A remote controller is connected to the master control microprocessor for alternative manual control over the sprayer by a user or automatic control by the control and monitoring system. The master control microprocessor provides for comparison of monitored operating parameters against acceptable values stored in memory for diagnosis of anomalous operating parameters. A data collector is connected to a data port to access and store operating information processed by the master control microprocessor.

摘要: A method and device for discriminating different types of ground vegetation in agriculture is disclosed in which an artificial source (24) of electromagnetic radiation is employed for directing a beam (26) of radiation onto the vegetation. A sensor assembly (30) is provided for detecting reflected radiation from the vegetation in a selected frequency band and generating a sensing signal in response to the detection. A logic controller (32) determines whether a magnitude of the sensing signal falls within a predetermined range of values in order to distinguish one type of vegetation from another type. In the near infred region of the electromagnetic spectum different types of weeds absorb significantly less infra-red radiation than other types of vegetation. Logic controller (32) compares the amplitude of the sensing signal with a decision window. If the amplitude of the incoming sensing signal falls within the decision window then the logic controller (32) determines that a certain type of plant has been detected and activates the corresponding solenoid valve (36) to deliver dose of spray liquid from spray nozzle (14) to the targeted weed (28).

摘要: A valve which, when water pressure is applied, either permits or prevents water flow to the sprinkler depending on the ambient moisture level. Thereby watering plants at their optimum water needs to produce better vegetation with less waste of water and money. The device comprises a moisture indicator bar (16) attached to a hygrometer coil (20). When the hygrometer coil senses sufficient moisture, the moisture indicator bar blocks the passage of the piston rod (14), preventing water flow out through the T pipe watering device side (42). If there is insufficient moisture, the hygrometer bar does not block the passage of the piston rod, the piston seal (12) moves past the T pipe watering device side, allowing water to flow out the watering device side to the sprinkler onto the plants. When water pressure is removed, the piston return spring (24) returns the piston rod and seal back to their initial position.

摘要: Apparatus for mixing two fluids has separate supply lines for delivering the fluids to a mixing head. Flow rate of fluid in one supply line is monitored by arranging a pressure transducer to measure a pressure drop across an orifice in an orifice plate arranged in the supply line and a controller is responsive to the detected flow rate to control flow rate of fluid in the other supply line to achieve a desired flow ratio of both fluids at the mixing head for producing a mixed fluid having the correct proportions of both fluids. The fluids may be a concentrate syrup and a plain or carbonated water to produce a beverage.
