摘要： An ultrasonic hair curling device capable of applying ultrasonic vibration efficiently to hairs for effective hair styling in a short time. The device includes a housing, an ultrasonic generator incorporated in the housing for generating ultrasonic vibrations, and a horn connected to receive and transmit the ultrasonic vibrations. The horn is formed at its end with a hollow barrel which projects from the housing for receiving therearound a strand of hair to be curled. The hollow barrel is provided at a portion intermediates at its longitudinal ends with a hair winding zone of which cross-section is smaller than the other portion of the hollow barrel. The hair winding zone of the reduced cross section can vibrate at an amplitude larger than at the front end of the barrel for applying the ultrasonic vibrations efficiently to the hair and making the hair curling effectively.

摘要： A hair curling apparatus provides a frame having an open center that includes a frame (preferably rectangular or square) having an open center, the frame having preferably lateral sides, but at least a lower surface that is shaped (as arcuately) to conform generally to the head of a user and an upper surface that provides a plurality of receptacles thereon which receives one or more hair curlers. A plurality of rollers may removably attach to the frame, the roller occupying the open center of the frame. Each roller has opposed end portions that engage receptacles on the frame when the roller is attached thereto. A majority of the length of each roller occupies the open center during use. Preferably, the rollers also exhibit a curved or arcuate profile in one longitudinal plane such that they also conform to the head of the user when the rollers are inserted into the frame. The curlers can be selectively oriented either longitudinally or laterally upon the frame.

摘要： A hairbrush having a head that may be quickly removed from the brush handle and a hairbrush system utilizing the same. In its most basic form, the hairbrush includes a brush head having a plurality of bristles, a removable brush handle, and a quick disconnect mechanism for removably attaching the brush handle to the brush head such that the brush handle may be quickly removed from the brush head. In the preferred embodiment, the quick disconnect mechanism includes a rod extending from the brush handle with a spring loaded ball partially extending from the rod, and an opening disposed within the brush head for accepting the rod and retaining the ball. The preferred ball presses against a sleeve disposed within the opening in the brush head. In some embodiments, however, the sleeve is eliminated and the opening includes a keyway and retainer mates with the ball and holds the ball in place. The hairbrush system includes two or more cylindrical brush heads, at least one brush handle and a quick disconnect mechanism, each as described above. In the preferred system, at least two of the cylindrical brush heads are of different diameter.

The hair-wave device generally includes a support structure that is capable of supporting a number of styling tools. The styling tools are typically located generally parallel with each other (such that they may appear to be side by side or one below the other). Typically, the support structure is a semi rigid body that has an environmentally resilient coat. The styling tools are typically made of an air permeable material such as foam, or a mesh, and are generally cylindrical in shape. The method for creating a wave styled hairdo generally includes the acts of wetting hair, weaving the wetted hair through a hair-wave device, and then allowing the hair to dry or either drying the hair.
