摘要: A navigation server capable of guiding a mobile subject such as an automobile by a navigation device, while appropriately evaluating the level of safeness of individual link in a disaster occurring area in consideration of the actual disaster condition is provided. According to the navigation server of the present invention, the links included in the disaster occurring area are extracted, and the cost of each of the extracted links is evaluated on the basis of the probe information. There is high probability that the spatial and temporal moving pattern of the automobile (a first mobile subject) represented by the probe information reflects the influence of the disaster. Therefore, the level of the safeness of individual link included in the disaster occurring area may be evaluated as the cost of individual link accurately in consideration of the actual disaster condition and road condition. Further, by transmitting the road traffic information generated on the basis of the cost of individual link to the navigation device, it becomes possible to make the navigation device guide the automobile (a second mobile subject) to avoid the influence of the disaster in consideration of the actual disaster condition and road condition.

摘要: According to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, a process for production of an amorphous alloy can be provided at low cost by, e.g., efficiently removing magnetic-property-degrading Al and Ti when using inexpensive Fe—B or scrap as an amorphous alloy raw material. An exemplary embodiment of the process for production of an Fe-based amorphous alloy ribbon can comprise, by mass, e.g., 2 to 4% of B, 1 to 6% of Si, and a balance of Fe and unavoidable materials is provided. For example, it can be determined whether the molten alloy obtained by melting a main raw material has a Ti concentration or Al concentration of 0.005 mass % or greater: When such even occurs, iron oxide source having an iron content of 55 mass % or greater can be added thereto to reduce both Ti and Al to less than 0.005 mass % by oxidative removal. Alternatively, it is possible to determine whether the main raw material has a composition whose Ti concentration or Al concentration is 0.005 mass % or greater, and when it does, an iron oxide source having an iron content of 55 mass % or greater is precharged into a melting vessel together with the main raw material.

摘要: A grain images obtained by CCD line sensors are processed by binarization processing to obtain contour images of grains and images of colored portions in the grains. The images are displayed on a monitor screen of an operating panel 30. The contour images and the images of the colored portions are displayed in a superposed state. Box frames generated by a highlight display circuit in control means 12 are simultaneously displayed by being superposed on the contour images having defective portions, thus producing a highlight display of defective grains. The defective grains include a grain having a light colored portion and a grain having a dark colored portion.

摘要: An internal combustion engine includes parallel first and second intake passages, and the intake passages respectively include first and second superchargers. A first airflow meter measures the intake air amount in the first intake passage. A second airflow meter measures the intake air amount in the second intake passage. An ECU obtains an air amount difference between the intake air amount measured by the first airflow meter and the intake air amount measured by the second airflow meter to compare the obtained air amount difference with a predetermined abnormality determination value. The ECU determines that an abnormality has occurred in one of the superchargers when the air amount difference exceeds the abnormality determination value. The abnormality determination of the superchargers is based on the air amount difference between the intake passages. This accurately determines the occurrence of an abnormality in the superchargers regardless of structure of the intake passages.

摘要: An access network system capable of reducing loss probability in an access network which is connected on one hand to a service node of an existing network through subscriber lines, and on the other hand to multiple user terminals, and has a concentrating function. A WAC (Wireless local loop Access Controller, that is, a controller of the access network) connected with the service node (local switch) receives from a base station a notification that no idle wireless channel is present if a wireless circuit is busy when the service node makes a call request, and receives from the base station a notification that an idle wireless channel is present when the base station detects it in the wireless circuit. If the WAC receives the channel busy notification, or cannot detect an idle channel in a trunk line, the WAC reserves a call processing. If the WAC receives the notification that an idle wireless channel is present, or detects an idle channel in the trunk line, and if the current subscriber line from the service node still holds the incoming call state, the WAC releases the reservation of the call processing, and performs a repeated call processing for the call request when the call request is still present.

摘要: A method for measuring ash content of food stuff is carried out by 1) preparing, with respect to food stuff samples whose ash content values are known, a calibration curve by a non-linear analysis of absorbance values and the known ash content of each sample, the absorbance values being obtained by irradiating light having particular wavelengths containing at least an ultraviolet ray band wavelength, the particular wavelength being specific to organic ingredients well coupled to inorganic ingredients which result in the ash content, and 2) deriving, with respect to a sample whose ash content value is unknown, an ash content value of the sample from absorbance values obtained by irradiating, on the sample, light having the particular wavelengths containing at least the ultraviolet ray band wavelength and from the calibration curve prepared in advance by the non-linear analysis. An apparatus for carrying out the method includes a light source section, a photo detecting section, a storing section for storing the calibration curve, and a calculation section for calculating, with respect to a sample whose ash content value is unknown, the ash content value based on the absorbance values and the calibration curve stored in the storing section. It is possible to speed up the measuring operation and to improve the measuring precision.

摘要: An information display system for a vehicle includes: a plurality of sensors for detecting various conditions of the vehicle; a display unit for displaying a selected one of a plurality of items of information relating to the conditions of the vehicle as detected by the corresponding sensors; a pair of manual for sequentially shifting the item of information which is currently displayed on the display unit; and a control unit for producing one of the items of information on the display unit according to output from one of the sensors. The control unit is further adapted to change the item of information which is currently displayed to a display of a default item of information, when the current display was manually selected, upon elapsing of a certain time interval after the manual selection of the current item of information for display. The control unit is capable of selecting at least two items of information for display, and the display unit assigns an indicator to each of the selected and displayed items to indicate that an additional item for dispaly exists. Thus, sufficient information which the driver of the vehicle may wish to know can be displayed in a limited space of the display unit.
