Abstract:
A system comprises implements, each including a body, a receptacle disposed on one end of the body and having a bore and an aperture formed through spaced apart wall portions of the receptacle, a clip pivotally attached to the elongated body, and a spring operable to bias the clip for a contact with the elongated body. An applicator handle includes a body having a hollow interior and an end thereof sized and shaped to fit the bore of the receptacle, a resilient member disposed within the hollow interior, a pair of pins upstanding on the ends of the resilient member and sized to be received within the aperture and two buttons engageable with the resilient member and mounted for a linear movement, the two buttons are manually operable to move the pins toward each other for a selective engagement or disengagement of the pins with the aperture.
Abstract:
A hair treatment device comprising a base having means for collection to an electrical power supply, the base including a socket including a first electrical connector, tongs comprising a pair of limbs including at least one resistive of heating element, the limbs being connected by a hinge, the tongs further comprising a socket engaging portion including a second electrical connector, the socket engaging portion being adapted to releasably engage the socket so that the first electrical connector connects to the second electrical connector to connect the resistive element to the power supply, wherein the limbs are arranged to extend upwardly when engaged to the base.
Abstract:
An electric hairdressing device has several hair curlers with a heat store, a container for storing and heating the hair curlers L and a heating device in the storing container with at least one heating element to heat the hair curlers. Each of the hair curlers has a heat store with a heating element receptacle to detachably place a hair curler onto a heating element with one end section freely accessible. The hairdressing device has an application handle for grasping and wrapping the hair curlers in a torsion-tight configuration. The application handle has a pivotably articulated hair curler finger to hold a strand of hair between the hair curler finger and the surface of a hair curler. The hair curler is almost entirely made up of a heat store body and has a smooth surface at least in the section that comes into contact with the hair to be shaped.
Abstract:
A permanent hair setting apparatus is disclosed wherein infrared radiation is used to heat the hair in conjunction with a permanent setting composition to a temperature of 100.degree. C. Heating of the hair occurs by winding the hair on infrared generating formers. The apparatus allows for the attainment of permanent setting with a heating time of only 5-60 seconds. Relatively dilute solutions of permanent setting composition are required, which dispenses with the need to neutralize the hair after setting. The use of the apparatus thereby permits permanent setting of the hair to be completed within about 30 minutes.
