Abstract: A drainable vase assembly for draining a vase without inversion thereof includes a vessel, which has a top that is open. Stems of stemmed plants and water can be inserted into the vessel via the top. The vessel has a hole positioned therein proximate to a bottom thereof. The water can drain from the vessel via a pipe, which is engaged to the vessel and extends bilaterally from the hole. A valve is positioned in the pipe. An actuator is operationally engaged to the valve and is positioned externally to the pipe and the vessel. The actuator is positioned to selectively actuate the valve to drain the water from the vessel.

Abstract: A vase including sidewalls; an open upper end; a vase bottom; and at least one water-receiving compartment. The water receiving compartment is substantially located proximal to the vase bottom, configured to hold water, and includes at least one flower support base including at least one aperture which is spaced apart from the vase bottom. The at least one aperture is configured to allow water to pass there-through and configured or disposed to prevent stems of the flowers to pass through. As a result, when in use, flowers in the vase are prevented from consuming the water in the compartment, while water held in the receiving compartment provides weight to stabilize the vase.

Abstract: An imitation ceramic vase manufactured by a method which includes the following steps. (1) Applying a primer layer material on a vase made by a non-ceramic material, and letting the primer layer material to dry. (2) Applying at least one layer of first middle layer material on the primer layer material on the non-ceramic material vase. (3) Applying at least a layer of second middle layer material on the first middle layer material, and letting the second middle layer material to dry, the second middle layer material having a color which is different from that of the first middle later material. (4) Applying a surface layer material on at least one of the first middle layer material and the second middle layer material, and letting the surface layer material to dry. The surface layer material is a polyurethane imitating porcelain surface coating or an ultraviolet imitating porcelain surface coating.

Abstract: A hanging vessel includes a hanger and a containment vessel shaped as a solid of rotation having a central axis, a closed bottom, an open top, and a lower sidewall with a diameter that increases from the bottom upward. The hanger includes a first hoop located around the lower sidewall, and a second hoop located above the first hoop. The first and second hoops are open hoops having respective first and second gaps, and are connected by an intermediate section aligned with a tensile section extending from the second hoop to an attachment point on the axis above the open end. An alternative hanger has helical turns conforming to the vase. The hanger is preferably formed from a single piece of resilient wire. The vessel may be a vase having a bulbous portion that can be positively retained by the hoops or turns.

Abstract: One embodiment of an inherently unstable vase with a magnet (3) attached to the base of the vase container (1). One pole of the magnet (3) allows the vase to be magnetically attracted to any metal object, including a ferrous metal base (4) plate. A ferrous block (2) near the opposite magnet pole augments the force provided by the magnet. The center of gravity of the vase would not allow the vase to remain upright without the use of the magnetic forces. A non-ferrous material can be placed between the vase magnet (3) and base (4), hiding the method by which the inherently unstable vase remains upright. Vases can be magnetically attached to one another, creating multi-tier vase arrangements. Magnetic forces allow the vases to be easily arranged and reconfigured to the desired angle, height, and shape. Also, the magnetic forces inhibit the vase from toppling due to perturbations.
