Abstract: Systems and methods for diagnosis of Acute Otitis Media (AOM) with a monopolar probe in a territory innervated by a chorda tympani nerve (CTN) by applying a stimulus by the monopolar, measuring a response to the stimulus, changing the strength of the stimulus applied based on the measured response until the measured response reaches a threshold value, determining a first stimulus strength at the threshold value, repeating these steps for another predefined location in a territory innervated by the CTN associated with a second ear, to determine a second stimulus strength at the threshold value for the second predefined location; and diagnosing AOM based on a difference between the determined first and second stimulus strengths for the first and second locations.

Abstract: A system for delivering sensory stimulation a sensor; a sensory stimulator configured to deliver sensory stimulation to a patient during a sleep session, the sensory stimulation having varying stimulation intensity levels; and a computer system. One or more physical processors being programmed with computer program instructions which, when executed cause the computer system to: determine sleep stage information of the patient based on brain activity information of the patient during the sleep session from the sensor; provide input to the sensory stimulator based on the determined sleep stage information of the patient, the provided input causing the sensory stimulator to deliver the sensory stimulation to the patient; obtain stimulation response information from the patient, the stimulation response information including patient brain response to the delivered sensory stimulation; and determine a range of the stimulation intensity levels within which the patient brain response reaches a threshold.

Abstract: A system for evaluating neurologic dysfunction of a subject includes an odorant generator configured to deliver an odorant stimulation to the subject, an auditory generator configured to deliver an audible stimulation to the subject, a vibrotactile stimulator configured to generate a somatosensory stimulation to the subject, a plurality of electrodes configured to be attached to the subject at respective different locations, and at least one processor. The plurality of electrodes are configured to collect neural signals from the subject as a result of the odorant stimulation, the audible stimulation, and the somatosensory stimulation. The at least one processor is configured to process the neural signals from the plurality of electrodes and generate an assessment of neurologic dysfunction of the subject.

The data processing device (11) according to one aspect of the present technology generates recipe data including a data set used when a cooking robot (1) performs a cooking operation, the data set linking cooking operation data in which information regarding an ingredient of a dish and information regarding an operation of a cook in a cooking process using the ingredient are described, and cook biological data indicating a biological reaction of the cook measured in conjunction with progress of the cooking process. The present technology can be applied to a computer that controls cooking in a cooking robot.

Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating and/or routing a digital signal are provided. A system may include a central database configured to store a set of signature brain wave responses as part of a profile of a user. The system may include a transaction device, a sensory device, and an EEG device. When a transaction request is received from the user, the system may be configured to present the user with a sensory prompt, detect a response of the user to the first sensory prompt, compare the response to the signature response in the profile associated with the sensory prompt, and, when the response matches the signature response within a predetermined delta, authenticate and/or route the transaction request.
