    摘要： A device for performing fetotomy on a dead fetus or repositioning of a live fetus has a primary attachment in the form of a looped brace that is provided around a fetal limb within the birth canal of the mother animal and engages the armpit or groin of the fetus. An extension bar connects the brace to a tensioning device. A secondary attachment such as a cable or chain is attached at the foot of the fetal limb and connected to the tensioning device. The tensioning device is operated to provide tension between the brace and the secondary attachment, thereby placing the fetal limb in traction. Sufficient traction causes removal of the entire limb without exposing sharp bone edges. Variations of the device may be used for a fetal repositioning procedure.

    摘要： Movable device for facilitating the dropping of young has a rope-like element which can be fastened to the young and upon which a tractive force may be exerted, and a collection element for collecting the young. The collection element is carried by a frame that extends along a longitudinal axis and includes a distal end and a proximal end. A wheel that serves as a windlass traction device for tensioning the rope and as a wheel for the barrow is rotatably attached to the frame distal end and aligned with the longitudinal axis. A lifting element is attached to the frame proximal end such that the collection element, the frame, the lifting element and the wheel form a wheelbarrow arrangement that is readily tiltable. Tilting guides facilitate tilting of the barrow.

    摘要： A device for assisting in the birth of livestock is disclosed. The device, known as a fetlock puller, is elongated, has at least one end open, and is sized so that the one open end will fit over the fetlock of an unborn animal fetus. The fetlock is the large bulge on an animal's foreleg just above the hoof. The fetlock puller is constructed of braid material which will cause the device to axially grip the foreleg as traction is applied. The device can also be used to suspend a newborn animal and hook it to a scale so it can be weighed.

    摘要： An anatomy testing device for determining pregnancy in gilts and sows is disclosed comprising a housing containing an electronic circuit to generate and analyze ultrasonic waves. Located on the exterior of the housing are a transducer probe for emitting ultrasonic waves when in contact with the animal's body, a first light to indicate that proper airless contact has been made between the animal's body and the probe, a second light to indicate pregnancy of the animal because of the increase in fluid content of the uterus, an audible alarm to also indicate pregnancy, a charger plug for recharging the batteries, and a test button to activate the electronic circuit. The circuit comprises an ultrasonic transceiver monolithic integrated circuit, an inverter means, a binary counter means, two AND gate means and R.S. flipflop means to generate, transmit, receive the echo of, analyze, and interpret ultrasonic waves to determine animal pregnancy. The portable anatomy testing device contains a rechargeable battery power supply within the housing to power the electronic circuit, indicator lights and audio indicator.
