    摘要: Process for closing and cutting into sections a flexible tube, with a cutting element and a pinching closing device for cutting into sections with two cross-sections, each with two parts with indentations that can be placed in removable extension by combination elements and that make a passage with an access, whereby the pinching closing device is in the open or closed state where the cross-sections are closed by locking members and where the surfaces form a pinching closing passage of the tube; the pinching region of the tube is positioned in the indentation of a cross-section; the other cross-section is brought opposite the preceding one and the pinching closing device in the closed state, with cooperation of the locking elements, the tube being positively pinched and closed in two positive pinching zones, and thus held in place; the tube is cut into sections between the parts in the closed state, using the cutting element by passing it into the passage without it interfering with the pinching closing device; and the parts are dissociated.

    摘要: A device for accessing a hollow organ comprises an elongated body sized for insertion into an entrance passage to the hollow organ, the elongated body including an outer sealing surface engaging an inner surface of the entrance passage and a working channel extending therethrough from a proximal port which, when the elongated body is in the operative position is proximal to a proximal opening of the entrance passage, to a distal port which, when the elongated body is in the operative position, extends distally past a distal opening of the entrance passage into the hollow organ and a plurality of suction holes formed through an outer wall of the elongated body, disposed around a circumference of a portion of the elongated body which, when the elongated body is in the operative position, is located within the entrance passage in combination with a vacuum channel formed in the elongated body for transferring a negative pressure to the suction holes to increase a sealing force applied by tissue of the entrance passage to the outer surface of the elongated body.

    摘要: An umbilical cord clamp having an improved lock construction. The clamp is of generally V-shaped configuration and includes a pair of flexible arms joined together at the apex of the V by an integral hinge. One of the arms is provided at its free forward end with a flexible tongue; the other arm has a forwardly-facing recess for receiving that tongue as the clamp is closed. A pair of projections extend inwardly from opposite sides of the recess and define sloping ramp surfaces for engaging the tip of the tongue and for flexing the tongue forwardly as the arms of the clamp are squeezed into closed condition. When the clamp is fully closed, the tip of the tongue snaps into position beneath the undercut projections to lock the arms securely together.

    摘要: The extra-amniotic device has an elongated, flexible tube capable of insertion through the cervix and into the extra-amniotic space of an impregnated uterus. A pair of resiliently flexible flanges are secured to said tube and spaced from each other so that the inner flange can be located within the uterus adjacent the internal os when the outer flange is located within the birth canal adjacent the external os. A resiliently flexible, substantially cylindrical member surrounds the tube between said flanges and is secured to said tube at the opposite axial ends thereof in an air-tight manner. Said member is connected to conduit means which can extend through part of the cervix and the birth canal for connection to a source of fluid under pressure whereby said member is inflated. The outer end of said tube is connected by conduit means to a source of liquid, which may be a medication.
