摘要: A catheter pump system is provided herein. The catheter pump system includes a catheter pump, a fluid system located within the catheter pump, and at least one filter membrane. The catheter pump has a proximal end, a distal end, and an elongate body extending therebetween, and the elongate body defining at least an inner lumen. The fluid system is configured to pressurize the catheter pump with fluid. The at least one filter membrane is configured to reduce an amount of particles within the fluid of the fluid system.

摘要: The invention relates to an intravascular blood pump. The blood pump comprises a pump section having a proximal portion with a blood flow inlet and a distal portion with a blood flow outlet and an impeller for causing blood to flow into the blood flow inlet and towards the blood flow outlet. The blood pump further comprises at least one filter connected to the proximal portion of the pump section and arranged with respect to the blood flow inlet so as to filter the blood before it enters the blood flow inlet. The filter may comprise an expandable mesh structure made of a shape-memory material.

摘要: A ventricular support system including a light source, a fiber optic splitter, two or more filters, an intravascular blood pump having two or more sensor heads, and a photodetector is disclosed. At least some of the light transmitted by the light source is split by the fiber optic splitter such that a portion is transmitted to each of the two or more filters. Each portion of light is filtered by one of the two or more filters and transmitted to one of the two or more sensor heads. Light beams reflected from each of the two or more sensor heads are combined by the fiber optic splitter. At least some of the combined light beams are received by the photodetector. By only using a single light source and a single photodetector with the two or more sensor heads, the ventricular support system may have improved portability.
