摘要： A removable processor enclosure apparatus for use in a gaming machine having a housing defining an interior portion, and a first electrical connector disposed in the interior portion. The enclosure apparatus includes an enclosure containing the CPU electrical components therein, and is adapted for sliding receipt in the interior portion of the gaming machine housing between a mounting condition and a removal condition. In the mounting condition, the enclosure is mounted to the housing and electrically coupling a second electrical connector of the enclosure to the first electrical connector of the housing. In the removal condition, the enclosure can be removed from the housing. A release device is interengaged between the housing and the enclosure, and is selectively movable between a first position, locking the enclosure in the mounting condition, and a second position, releasing the enclosure from the mounting condition to the removal condition and disconnecting the second electrical connector from the first electrical connector.

Three rows of grooves 22a are formed on a receiving pan 22 of the coin game machine. The coins 23 that are paid out from the coin pay-out hole 10 are orderly lined up along each of the grooves 22a. Therefore, the player can see all the coins 23 and count the number of the coins 23 easily. In this case, by counting in advance the number of coins that can be stored in each row of the grooves 22a, the player can count the number of coins stored on the receiving pan 22 further easily.

The cover is mounted to the opening when the cabinet portion contains the coin hopper. The cover is removed from the opening when the cabinet portion contains the ticket printer.

The operation means is connected to the operation object via an optical fiber and by converting the electrical signals of the transmission object to optical signals during communication and transmitting said optical signals via optical fibers, even if the frequency is high, no electromagnetic-wave noise is generated as happens when the operation means is connected to the operation object via electrically conductive wires. Thus there is no need to limit the frequency of the optical signals, that is, the communication speed, and therefore communication can be done at a faster rate than previously.

The cabinet is slidably mounted to a locking base which bolts into a recess in a gaming table allowing the main cabinet to also be recessed therein yet slide out in a cantilevered fashion to access the doors and controls. The base includes a side or rear cable locking enclosure allowing access to and disconnecting of ends of cables connected to the game controller only upon unlocking of the base and outward sliding of the main cabinet.

摘要： A device for dispensing awards includes a housing having a set of compartments, the contents of which are visible from the outside. Each compartment contains a small but valuable award, such as a diamond. The housing is part of, or connected to, a gaming machine. When a player wins a game which entitles the player to select a tangible award, the device signals this fact to the player. The player then selects a compartment by pressing a input device located on the housing. An attendant opens an external door, and inserts an electronic key into a receptacle associated with the selected compartment, and enters a required code into the key. The compartment then opens, and the player obtains the award. The device provides enhanced security, because the compartment will not open unless the player has won the required game and has pressed the input device, and the attendant has properly opened the external door and has entered the correct code with the electronic key. The device also includes an inventory control system which preferably uses an RFID apparatus for monitoring the contents of each compartment, and for keeping records of an inventory of awards.
