    摘要: An NOx reduction catalyst and an exhaust system using the same may include an NOx reduction catalyst mounted at an exhaust pipe through which exhaust gas passes, wherein the NOx reduction catalyst includes first and second catalyst layers coated on a carrier, the first catalyst layer being disposed close to the exhaust gas, and the second catalyst layer being disposed close to the carrier, wherein a portion of nitrogen oxide contained in the exhaust gas is oxidized while passing through the first catalyst layer, and the oxidized nitrogen oxide is stored in the second catalyst layer, wherein the nitrogen oxide stored in the second catalyst layer is released through a substitution reaction with an additionally injected fuel, and wherein the released nitrogen oxide is reduced by the additionally injected fuel in the first catalyst layer.

    摘要: A filter module for use in filtering particulates from a high temperature gas has a central gas duct and at least one horizontally extending support mount affixed to the duct. The support mount supports a filter element thereon and has a chamber therein, which communicates with an inner space of the duct through an opening in the wall of the duct, and which communicates with the clean gas face of the filter element. The filter element is secured to the support mount over an opening in the top wall of the support mount, with releasable securement provided to enable replacement of the filter element when desired. Ceramic springs may be used in connection with the filter module either to secure a filter element to a support mount or to prevent delamination of the filter element during blowback.

    摘要: Disclosed is an improved basket filter which minimizes raw material waste and is formed of at least one rectangular perforated metal foil part folded along a bending line at its middle, transversely to its longitudinal edge, and at least two perforated metal foil elements in the form of sectors of a circle. The longitudinal edges of the rectangular metal foil part are connected to the straight line edges of the metal foil elements in the form of sectors of a circle so that, after assembly, the filter defines a round opening which merges into a straight line bottom edge. Adjoining edges between the rectangular metal foil part and the straight line edges of the metal foil elements are embedded in a plastic.

    摘要: A strainer is provided for removing particulate debris from a fluid passing therethrough. The strainer is primarily of the automatic type having a hollow body, a cover, a strainer element and a backwash arm assembly for cleaning the strainer element. The strainer element is a cylindrical, convoluted screen having encapsulating end caps positioned at either end. The end caps and thus the strainer element are retained so as to avoid rotation in seal rings, one of which is connected to the cover and the other of which is detachably connected to the terminus of the backwash arm. The strainer element is a structural member capable of withstanding the loads imposed on it by the fluid.

    摘要: The specification discloses a filter apparatus including spirally wound tissue layer filter elements for filtering fluid and a seal between the filter elements to prevent fluid from bypassing the filter elements. A flow tube extends through the center of the filter elements. A resiliently deformable mesh spacer is located on the flow tube between the filter elements to insure formation of a radial passageway therebetween. The seal is applied between the filter elements along their circumferential edges in a melted state and migrates into and between the tissue layers and interstices of the filter elements and the mesh of the spacer. As the seal cools and hardens it adheres to the filter elements and the spacer. A seal may likewise be applied between the filter elements and the flow tube. Application of the seals in this manner prevents fluid flow communication between the area outside of the filter elements and the radial passageway except by means of passage of fluid between the layers of tissue in the filter elements so that the filtering function is maximized.
