The release liner comprises a sheet of material where a first surface contacts the adhesive layer, and an aperture defining a passage for a film connected to a first sterile barrier film located within the injection device. An end of the film is connected to a second surface of the sheet of material that is opposite to the first surface, and the release liner is covered by a strengthening sheet connected to the second surface and covering the aperture and the end of the film.

Each end includes a fluidic connector (18, 26) and the tubular body (12) defines an interior volume. A piston (30) is located within the interior volume and is configured to create a fluid and gas seal within the interior volume of the tubular body (12) and to move axially under the action of a displacement fluid via the fluidic connectors (18, 26) between the proximal end (16) and the distal end (14). The position of the piston (30) relative to the distal end defines the volume of fluid to be dispensed.

摘要： An apparatus for determining the volume of fluid dispensed. The apparatus has an acoustic volume sensor that acoustically excites a reference volume and a measurement chamber with a loudspeaker and measures the acoustic response with microphones acoustically coupled to the reference and the measurement chamber. The loudspeaker and sensing microphones are connected to the measurement chamber by separate ports. A detachable dispensing chamber is coupled to the acoustic volume sensor. The volume of the fluid dispensed is determined by a processor based on the acoustic response of the microphones to acoustic excitement by the loudspeaker.

摘要： Devices for protecting a user from a sharp tip of a medical needle includes a central body portion, a medical needle having a sharp tip, a pair of wings in attachment to the central body portion. The medical needle includes a longitudinal axis that is substantially perpendicular to at least one of a long axis of the central body portion and the delivery tube. The pair of wings are selectively positionable in a first position in which the pair of wings are spaced apart from the medical needle and a second position in which the pair of wings are proximate the medical needle. A mechanical fastener is disposed on at least one of the pair of wings, the mechanical fastener configured to selectively attach the pair of wings together in the second position with the medical needle positioned therebetween. Methods of using the device including administering medicinal fluids.

The connector may include a septum configured to prevent flow through the tapered male discharge nozzle. The connector may include an arm, which may include a first end, a second end, and a hinge portion disposed between the first end and the second end. The first end may be coupled to the male luer lock. In response to the hinge portion moving from an open position to a closed position, the arm may be configured to secure the winged needle set to the connector.
