Abstract:
A sprinkling device includes a tube coupled to a water reservoir, a sprayer head rotatably attached to the tube with a housing and rotatable relative to the tube by the water from the tube and flowing out through the sprayer head to form a sprinkling water. A light device is disposed in the housing for lighting the sprinkling water and for generating a lighted water screen and for decorative purposes. The lighted sprinkling water may be used for warning people nearby and for preventing the people from being wetted by the sprinkling water.
Abstract:
A gun mount for a spray gun includes a rigid bracket that is installed on a rigid vertical support such as a gun mover. The bracket securely mounts the guns so as to reduce vibration and swaying during a spraying operation, even when the guns are being vertically moved by an oscillator. A position label or other suitable indicia is provided on the bracket so that the gun mount position can be recorded and thereby accurately repeated during subsequent installations. The bracket in one embodiment includes a series of vertical and horizontal mounting holes that permit a gun body to be installed at a desired vertical and horizontal orientation. A gun blow off arrangement is also provided for mounting associated pairs of air nozzles in position to blow powder from gun exterior surfaces. The associated pairs of air nozzles are mounted on a common bracket that can be selectively and slideably positioned on a channel support. An air nozzle positioning indicating device is provided to accurate position and record the position of the air nozzles for particular gun positions.
Abstract:
A rotary nozzle for compressed air foam (CAF) has a barrel mounted for rotation about an axis perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. The barrel is mounted to a CAF supply conduit and has a cross-sectional area substantially larger than the cross-sectional area of the conduit. Two non-equal orifices in the barrel, located on the opposite sides of the axis of rotation, distribute CAF such that it covers an almost complete, typically a circular area on the ground.
Abstract:
A dirt-resistant bearing system for a sprinkler unit with a rotatable turret having a central shaft extending into a support channel formed within an inner housing. The central shaft may be formed with a relatively upper shaft portion and a relatively lower shaft portion, and the support channel may be formed with an upper channel region and a lower channel region. A first bearing and sealing assembly may be fitted substantially around an outer perimeter of the upper shaft portion and in communication with the upper channel region, and a second bearing and sealing assembly may be fitted substantially around an outer perimeter of the lower shaft portion and in communication with the lower channel region. Another aspect of the invention provides a sprinkler head with a fitted serrated seal assembly. The fitted seal assembly may include an outer case having an interior region, and a pop-up sprinkler head turret mounted on a riser sleeve slidably mounted within the interior region of the outer case. The turret may be formed with an elongated central shaft for the passage of water. A water filter may be also provided within the riser sleeve having a valve stem for communication with a lower end portion of the central shaft. The communicating surfaces of the lower end portion of the central shaft and the valve stem of the water filter may be formed with complementary serrated surfaces.
Abstract:
A high-pressure rotary nozzle includes a magnetic coupling for the purposes of driving a rotor body within the nozzle housing. The nozzle housing defines an internal chamber, and a propulsion ring is retained within the housing such that a liquid introduced into the propulsion ring causes the propulsion ring to rotate and passes into the chamber. The rotor body is pivotally supported within the chamber and is operably coupled to the propulsion ring such that the rotor body moves along with the propulsion ring. The rotor body rotates about the housing, such that the liquid exits the chamber in a rotating jet.
Abstract:
A spa jet for delivering water from an upstream source of water under pressure to the interior of a spa, the spa jet having a housing with an inlet tube communicating with the source of water and a chamber wall defining a generally cup shaped chamber. A retaining ring is connected to and inside of the chamber wall. A form having an annular upstream portion is fixed against axial movement between the chamber wall the retaining ring. The form has a downstream portion extending from the annular portion in the form of a shaft aligned with the axis. The spa jet also has a rotor with a generally cylindrical body concentric with the axis, the body having a bearing surface extending around the shaft which supports the body for rotating. At least one nozzle passage extends through the rotor which collects water from the inlet tube and directs the water as a water jet into the spa at an angle sufficient to impart a turning moment to the rotor about the axis. A keeper is fixedly secured to a free end of the shaft overlapping portions of at least one of the body and the bearing, the keeper retaining the body on the shaft.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for simultaneously coating and forming a body (11), comprising the following steps: two mold halves (1.1, 1.2) of a mold (1) for forming a molding (11) are moved together and brought into contact with one another, an injection-molding material is introduced into the mold halves (1.1, 1.2) so that a molding (11) is formed, the molding (11) is evacuated, a gas is admitted into the molding (11), the plasma in the molding (11) is ignited, so that a coating is deposited on the inner side of the molding (11), after the coating step has ended, the mold halves (1.1, 1.2) are moved apart so that the molding drops out.
Abstract:
A needle foot assembly for a dispensing system includes a needle nut, a rotatable bearing, a friction brake, and an end piece holding the needle foot. The needle foot assembly attaches the needle to a dispensing head of the dispensing system. Rotation of the bearing alters the orientation of the needle foot and needle. The needle foot is removeably attached to the end piece and can be adjusted with respect to height.
Abstract:
A rotary drive for a hydraulic tool includes a housing; a hydraulic connection on the housing; and a rotatable hollow shaft in the housing, having an axially extending center passage duct and being connected with a nozzle carrier. A sleeve is inserted from a hydraulic connection end of the housing into the passage duct. A seal consisting of at least one separate ring seal rests in a sealing manner on the wall of the passage duct and on the sleeve. A device exerts pressure on the seal.
Abstract:
A nozzle for use in cleaning applications is provided. The nozzle has a rotatably supported nozzle body, on which one or more nozzle orifices are provided. The nozzle housing itself serves as the rotary drive, which is carried along by a fluid led into the housing with torque. In order to stabilize the drive action, at least one braking device is provided on the nozzle which generates a braking torque by fluid action, preferably through the recoil on a nozzle opening.
