    摘要: A spray coating application system for dispensing a liquid coating includes an elongated guide rail and a longitudinal slide plate slideably attached to the guide rail. The longitudinal slide plate is movable along a longitudinal axis of the guide rail between a first and second longitudinal positions. A transverse slide plate is attached to the longitudinal slide plate for concurrent movement therewith along the longitudinal axis of the guide rail. The transverse slide plate is moveable relative to the longitudinal slide plate in a transverse direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the guide rail. A spray nozzle is attached to the transverse slide plate for dispersing the liquid coating as a spray. A cam follower is attached to the transverse slide plate and engagable with a cam for moving the spray nozzle relative to the longitudinal slide plate between a first transverse position and a second transverse position.

    摘要: A process for producing a preform by cold spray deposition, the process comprising: providing a starter substrate about a preform axis of rotation, the starter substrate having at least one axial end having a substantially flat deposition surface; rotating the starter substrate about the preform axis of rotation; depositing material onto the deposition surface of the starter substrate using cold spray deposition to form a product deposition surface, the cold spray deposition process including a cold spray applicator through which the material is sprayed onto the deposition surface; successively depositing material onto a respective top product deposition surface using cold spray deposition to form successive deposition layers of the material; and moving at least one of: the cold spray applicator; or the starter substrate and preform product, relative to the other in an axial direction along the preform axis of rotation to maintain a constant distance between the cold spray applicator and the top product deposition surface, thereby forming a preform product of a selected length, wherein the cold spray applicator is moved in a plane perpendicular to the preform axis of rotation so as to deposit material as a substantially flat surface on each respective deposition surface of the starter substrate or product deposition surface of the preform product.

In addition, a nozzle channel for the coating material is provided and reaches through the nozzle nipple and the nozzle core and connects the nozzle nipple opening to the nozzle core opening. The nozzle nipple has a cylindrical portion, which in the first installation position forms a form fit with the nozzle mount of the spray gun. In addition, a stop is provided. The ratio between the length (L) from the stop to the cylindrical portion and the nozzle diameter (D) lies in the range between 0.75 and 2.00.

    摘要: A pneumatically controlled painting frame is provided for painting large, open surfaces with a uniform coating of paint, primer, or other surface coating that is spray-applied. The device comprises a rectangular frame having a slidable paint spray rail within the frame. The paint spray rail is slidably controlled using compressed air, which forces the rail along the frame in a singular direction, while the compressed air draws the coating from a container for communication through a plurality of spray nozzles along one surface of the rail. The device is positioned against a surface, adjusted using jack screw base supports, connected to a compressor, and operated using a remote control, which activates the release of the compressed air through the system to allow one pass of the rail across the adjacent surface for coating the same.

    摘要: A system and method allows for processing of two groups of medical devices, both groups being alternatingly spray coated within the same enclosure. The two groups repeatedly move back and forth between a spray area and a drying area which is isolated from the spray area. One group moves into the spray area as the other group moves out and into the drying area. Thereafter, the group in the spray area moves out and into the drying area and the other group moves back into the spraying area for a second coating. The alternating process may be repeated any number of times. The spray area may be located inside a sealed spray isolator enclosure and surrounded by gas discharge nozzles.
