    摘要: A method for producing longitudinally welded helically corrugated metal tubing, wherein a metal strip pulled from a strip supply is formed into tubing with a longitudinal slit, the longitudinal slit is sealed by welding and the corrugation is produced by a corrugation tool that is supported eccentrically and at an angle to the tubing axis, is freely rotatable in a rotationally driven corrugator head, and rolls off the surface of the tubing. The metal strip as well as the uncorrugated metal tubing are advanced by a feed device that is provided between the welding point and the corrugation unit. A second feed device (8) engages the corrugated tubing (7) directly behind the corrugation unit (6), and the feed rate of the second feed device is slower than the forward feed rate of the corrugated tubing (7) which results from the pitch of the corrugator disk and the rotational speed of the corrugator head.

    摘要: A die and a method for forming a die to produce optically varying effects in a light reflective surface. A design generally formed as a plurality of parallel grooves of varying widths and depths are engraved in a soft metal foil adhered to a substrate. A hard metal coating is formed on the engraved soft metal foil in a metal plating bath. The hard metal coating, removed from the soft metal foil provides a die formed as a mirror image of the grooves engraved in the soft metal foil. The die is used to deform a reflective surface such that the surface produces optically varying effects. A die formed in the same manner with further processing is used to both deform a reflective surface and hot stamp it to a substrate.

    摘要: A method for producing rotational-symmetrical sheet metal articles with double-curved shape and varying thickness, particularly rocket nozzles, in which a number of sheet metal part-blanks in flat condition are cut to partially circular ring-like shape, whereupon said part-blanks are bent to the desired curvature and welded together to form a blank of the article for final machining. According to the invention the part-blanks are formed by welding together a number of strip-like sheet metal pieces with different thickness of material in flat condition along their straight edges in side-by-side relationship to form a sheet metal plate with a width corresponding to the whole length of the article and with stepwise decreasing thickness of material from one side to the other of said plate, whereupon this sheet metal plate is cut to the shape of a nozzle part-blank with partially circular ring-like shape, and said nozzle part-blank then is bent, and said part-blanks are welded together along their adjacent straight and non-parallel sides to the final blank of the article, which blank finally is subjected to finishing machining, if necessary.
