摘要： A blade clamp device for jig saws includes a drive shaft with a holder connected to a lower end of the drive shaft. A recess is defined in an outer surface of the holder for receiving a blade. A lug extends radially outward from the holder. A C-shaped clamp member is pivotally connected to the lug and a torsion spring is mounted to the pin, one end of the spring is engaged with the lug and the other end of the torsion spring is engaged with an inside of the clamp member. A pressing member extends from an inside of the clamp member so as to contact the blade in the recess.

摘要： The flush cut power saw comprises a framework having a base plate with a saw blade slot extending through two risers located at one end of the base plate. At least two rods slidably receive a movable housing for supporting a motor at a location above the cutting blade. The motor is secured to a transmission to convert the rotary motion of the motor to a reciprocating, linear motion. The transmission is connected to a saw blade mounting apparatus, which linearly reciprocates a cutting blade, which adjustably extends below the mounting plate. The cutting blade may be adjustably positioned with an adjustable stop for depth in vertical alignment with the framework. The transmission reciprocally biases the cutting blade, enabling the cutting blade to reciprocally travel linearly in relation with the movable housing, to complete a cut flush with an adjoining surface, while controlling the depth of cut. In this manner, both the depth of cut and the length of stroke may be adjusted to complete a cut flush in proximity to an external abutting surface adjacent to at least two vertical risers extending from the base plate.

摘要： A reciprocating saw is provided having a motor oriented within a housing for operably driving a saw bar and blade holder in a reciprocating motion. The blade holder has a longitudinal slot for receiving a saw blade, and a transverse aperture extending into the longitudinal slot for receiving a follower. A sleeve is pivotally mounted upon the body, and has a circum-axial cam groove formed therein cooperating with the follower. Rotation in a first lock direction urges the follower into the longitudinal slot for engaging the saw blade and rotation of the sleeve in a second unlock direction allows the follower to retract. A biasing member is included for biasing the sleeve in the first lock direction. The sleeve central bore is adapted to provide clearance for the follower such that the sleeve is permitted to axially translate relative to the body for assembly or disassembly of the blade holder.

In this case the ruler is marked, or etched, on the saw blade such that the blade acts as a ruler and straight edge. The ruler is marked on the horizontal edge opposite the saw teeth and runs the length of the saw blade. In this manner there is no need for adjunct attachments to the blade that act as measuring device or the use of a separate measuring device, or ruler, for the purpose of measuring the length of material to be cut. This design eliminates the need for a separate measuring device and therefore simplifies the process of measuring and cutting lengths of material.
