摘要: Each of molding machines has a conductive line whose electrification state changes as a result of anomalous stoppage. An anomaly monitoring system includes detection sections provided in the conductive lines so as to detect the electrification states thereof; a data processing section having input ports to which the detection sections are connected, wherein, when a detection signal indicating the electrification state of a conductive line is provided from a detection section to an input port, the data processing section outputs data regarding a mail address and a message prepared in accordance with the input port having received the detection signal and the electrification state; and a mail transmission section which receives the data output from the data processing section and sends an electronic mail containing the message to a communication terminal corresponding to the mail address.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a press belt includes the following steps: laying a plurality of crosswise reinforcing yarns inside a cylindrical casting cylinder; casting a surface layer of an elastomeric material over the crosswise yarns; laying a plurality of lengthwise yarns onto the still wet surface layer of the elastomeric material; and casting an inner layer of elastomeric material over the lengthwise yarns. The inner and outer layers of elastomeric material merge together to form an integral elastomeric entity which encases both the crosswise and lengthwise yarns.

摘要: This invention is directed to an apparatus and method for producing a continuously molded thermoplastic sheet from heat expandable granules in a heated zone within a molding channel. The disclosed invention includes introducing a predetermined amount of water into the molding channel to wet the granules either prior to or contemporaneously with the introduction of a hot gas into the granules to expand the granules into a continuous thermoplastic sheet. The water is drained from the channel subsequent to the expansion of the granules.

摘要: A granulator primarily intended for in situ use in combination with an injection molding machine such that plastic scrap such as sprues and runners generated in such formation of plastic parts may be granulated thereby. The granulator is adapted for disposition within the confines of the injection molding machine and particularly within the drop out area thereof. A pair of rails guide the granulator in such drop out area and enable it to be laterally withdrawn to one side of the molding machine for repair, parts changes, cleaning and the like. The specific construction of the granulator includes a pair of meshed paddle rolls serving as a combination metering and feed device and removal means to remove granulated material to that end of the granulator disposed proximal said one side of the machine so as to enable efficient and quiet in situ granulation of plastic scrap generated from the injection molding procedure in a manner heitherto unattainable.

摘要: As described herein, there is provided safety apparatus for continuous rotary blow molding machines of the type wherein the extruder operates independently of the machine to continuously extrude plastic tube through its die head during the interruption of operation by the blow molding machine. The safety apparatus includes a blow tube mounted on the extruder for directing air under pressure against the plastic tube to deflect the tube away from the molds of the molding machine upon interruption of the operation of the blow molding machine. A conveyor, operative at the same time as the blow tube and extending in a direction coincident with the direction of pressurized air, receives the diverted plastic tube and carries the plastic tube to a receptacle. The blow tube and conveyor remain operative at least until the machine is restarted. In order to permit the plastic tube to resume its normal direction of discharge into the molds, there is also provided a cutting device for cutting the plastic tube right at the die head of the extruder a predetermined time after the machine is restarted. Finally, a safety gate, providing access to the molds of the machine when open, includes safety switches which disable the machine when the gate is open.

摘要: In an apparatus for the liquid injection molding of multicomponent thermosetting reaction mixtures having holding tanks for storing each component of the reaction mixture under vacuum, recirculating and metering pumps for recirculating each component to its respective holding vessel between injection cycles and alternately delivering metered amounts of each component to a mixing and injecting unit during the injection cycle and a mold having an internal configuration or cavity conforming to the surfaces of the article to be molded, a movable bottom plate and an injection port and short injection channel terminating in a gate positioned within the mold cavity at a point relatively remote from the geometric center or point of balance of the bottom plate for molding the reaction mixture to the desired configuration, an improvement is disclosed which comprises: A. MEANS FOR CONTINUOUSLY RECIRCULATING ONE PART OF EACH REACTION COMPONENT TO ITS RESPECTIVE HOLDING TANK WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY DELIVERING THE OTHER PART OF THE REACTION COMPONENT TO A METERING, MIXING, AND INJECTING UNIT FOR INJECTING A PREDETERMINED AMOUNT OF HOMOGENEOUS REACTION MIXTURE INTO THE INJECTION PORT OF A MOLD UNDER SUBSTANTIALLY CONSTANT PRESSURE ONLY FOR THE DURATION OF THE INJECTION CYCLE; B. MEANS FOR PERMITTING DISCHARGE OF THE REACTION MIXTURE FROM THE METERING, MIXING, AND INJECTING UNIT INTO THE INJECTION PORT OF THE MOLD ONLY FOR THE DURATION OF THE INJECTION CYCLE; C. MEANS FOR MAINTAINING SUBSTANTIALLY CONSTANT PRESSURE FOR THAT PART OF THE REACTION COMPONENT BEING RECIRCULATED TO ITS RESPECTIVE HOLDING TANK REGARDLESS OF THE STATE OF OPERATION OF MEANS (B); AND D. AT LEAST ONE INJECTION CHANNEL EXTENDING FROM THE INJECTION PORT OF THE MOLD AND TERMINATING IN AT LEAST ONE GATE POSITIONED WITHIN THE MOLD CAVITY AT A POINT RELATIVELY PROXIMATE TO THE GEOMETRIC CENTER OR POINT OF BALANCE OF THE BOTTOM PLATE, THE INJECTION CHANNEL BEING DEFINED WITHIN THE WALL OF THE MOLD CAVITY AT A LEVEL BELOW THE UPPER SURFACE OF THE BOTTOM PLATE WHEN THE BOTTOM PLATE IS IN THE POSITION FOR THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE INJECTION CYCLE WITH THE BOTTOM PLATE WALL SERVING AS ONE WALL OF THE INJECTION CHANNEL, OR THE INJECTION CHANNEL IS DEFINED WITHIN THE BOTTOM PLATE WALL WITH THE WALL OF THE MOLD CAVITY SERVING AS ONE WALL OF THE INJECTION CHANNEL, OR THE INJECTION CHANNEL IS DEFINED WITHIN THE WALL OF THE MOLD CAVITY ANDA THE BOTTOM PLATE WALL IN THE AFORESAID MANNER WITH THE FLOW OF REACTION MIXTURE THROUGH THE GATE DURING THE INJECTION CYCLE BEING UNINTERRUPTED WHEN THE BOTTOM PLATE IS IN POSITION FOR THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE INJECTION CYCLE AND INTERRUPTED WHEN THE BOTTOM PLATE IS IN THE POSITION AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE INJECTION CYCLE.
