    摘要: The present invention describes a method of explosively vaporizing a piecef semiconductor material in a plasma formed by a fast, high voltage current pulse. The semiconductor material may be formed from crystalline, polycrystalline, or amorphous forms of semiconductor material. After the semiconductor material is vaporized, it coalesces as the plasma begins to cool and is deposited in a collection system. The size and composition of the microparticles formed by this process can be controlled by conditioning the plasma in predetermined manners. In particular, impurities can be introduced either in the target material, in gas introduced in the plasma, or in the gas through which the coalescing microparticles travel prior to deposition.

    摘要: A process of inlaying a design in molded simulated marble or the like comprising the steps of applying a release coating to the inner bottom surface of a mold, applying a transparent gel coat on said release coating, smoothing a piece of porous flexible sheet material bearing the design on one face thereof on the gel coat in the mold to conform to the surface of the gel coat with the one face of the piece of cloth bearing the design toward the gel coat, and casting a hardenable marble mix in the mold over the piece of cloth. The marble mix is then allowed to harden for removal of the resultant simulated marble slab from the mold, the piece of sheet material being embedded in the slab with the design viewable through the transparent gel coat.

    摘要: A method for producing glass fiber reinforced plastic molded articles with decorative patterns thereon is provided, which method includes the steps of placing at least two kinds of differently colored sheet molding compound (SMC) mat layers on a stationary mold, each of the SMC mats including glass fibers impregnated with resin, the resin in each of the SMC mats including different colorants, the area of each SMC mat layer occupying less than the total effective molding surface area of the stationary mold surface, disposing a movable mold in engagement with the stationary mold with the SMC mat layers interposed between such molds, and applying heat and pressure to the molds so as to fluidize and polymerize and cure the resin in the SMC mats. When fluidized, the two kinds of differently colored mats are mingled with each other to form flow patterns comprised of the distinct colors of each of the mats. Inasmuch as the total area of each of the SMC mat layers occupies less than the total effective molding surface area of the stationary mold, there will be sufficient space between the stationary mold and movable mold to allow the resin in each SMC mat layer when heat and pressure are applied thereto, to flow and fill the remaining space between the molds and be mingled with resin from the other SMC mats to form flow patterns of the colors of the mats. The final article produced will thereby include a decorative pattern of colors on at least one surface thereof.
