摘要: When a molten plastic is molded using a metal mold, sufficient cooling time has to elapse before the metal mold is opened, but this cooling time restricts the production per unit time. If a metal mold is opened without sufficient cooling, the plastic undergoes significant deformation by thermal shrink. If this deformation can be estimated and the metal mold designed so as to make allowance for the anticipated deformation, it will be possible to produce a molding with a shape that is equal to the design dimensions, despite shortening the cooling time. The finite element method is used to obtain the deformation. Mold design can also be performed taking account of the deformation due to the hydrostatic pressure that is produced when the molding is filled with its liquid contents. In addition, as for a portion of an in-mold labelled container which include lamination construction, the deformation due to thermal shrink is not estimated as a container which an in-mold label is not being applied. On this case, we have a method which is simulating deformation after adding parameters relating to the material of this label, said parameters including at least its thermal conductivity and coefficient of linear expansion. The thermal conductivity deformation simulation is by the finite element method. Production per unit time can be increased and metal mold design can be carried out independently of experience.

摘要: A seat, which is covered with a surface material and has a multilayer with different hardness, the air permeability, a good feeling on the surface and such a hardness that a weight of a person can be supported, is provided. The seat (1) is covered with a surface material (2) having the air permeability and comprises a foamed body having an outline generally corresponding to an outline of the seat. The foamed body comprises a first foamed body (10) as a base of the foamed body and a second foamed body (6). The second foamed body (6) is resulted in one with a back surface of the surface material and is also resulted in one with a front surface of the first foamed body by: injecting and laminating a liquid foamable mixture on the front surface of the first foamed body and then by pressing and compressing the laminated liquid foamable mixture in the first foamed body and a pressure applying mold having a molding surface and positioned on the surface material on the laminated liquid foamable mixture and simultaneously sucking through a suction slot provided in the pressure applying mold, when the laminated liquid foamable mixture has completed a gas reaction thereof but is still in a visco-elastic flowing condition.

摘要: A partition member having partition walls arranged in a lattice is disposed in the vicinity of an upper surface of a molten metal mass. The upper surface is divided by the partition walls into a multiplicity of segmental surfaces. A forming starter member is brought into contact with the partition member so that the molten material adheres to a starter surface of the forming starter member, and is then separated from the partition member. The molten metal is drawn from each of the segmental surfaces, and the drawn metal is solidified to form a piece which has a cross sectional shape corresponding to the shape of the starter surface. With the use of forming starter members having respective starter surfaces which are different in shape from each other, it is possible to form pieces having various cross sectional shapes which correspond to the shapes of the starter surfaces.

摘要: An apparatus and method for custom blending and fabricating lipstick to the specific demands of individual customers. The present invention provides a kit which enables a user to blend various pigments to arrive at a very specific shade, and then blend the desired shade with a specific base to result in a desired consistency of lipstick, and which also allows the blended bases and pigments to be heated to a liquefied form and poured into a mold for hardening. Upon cooling and hardening, a conventional lipstick case can be attached to the lipstick for removal from the mold and use by the customer. The present invention therefore not only allows a user to quickly attain the specific shade and consistency of lipstick desired, but also eliminates the time consuming and unsatisfactory process of visiting multiple stores having expansive inventories of variously shaded and textured lipsticks.

摘要: A mold is formed for an building earth boring bit by designing the bit geometry in three dimensions using a computer aided design (CAD) system and then feeding the geometry data of the design to a layering device. The layering device then builds the mold a layer at a time. Materials used in building the mold include, sand, graphite, ceramic, clay, other refractory materials, plastic, rubber and wax. Once the mold is formed, powdered steel or tungsten carbide is poured into the mold and is cured by press molding or infiltrating with a binder forming a bit body. Cutting elements are then inserted in the bit body forming the earth boring bit.
