The injecting device includes a mouth having a plurality of openings that is insertable into the mold so that the plastic flows through the plural holes into the mold.     摘要: Various steps in the operation of an insulated runner injection molding system are automated by computer generated responses to various sensing steps or other steps to thereby reduce the performance requirements of the system operator. In automatic response to a manual operation incident to closure of a machine gate subsequent to removal of a sprue from channel-encasing mold parts, a computer causes the molding system to be adjusted to enable injection of molten plastic into an insulated runner channel to form the insulated runner and through the insulated runner into mold-cavities. In automatic response to sensing such readjustment of the molding system, the computer causes a predetermined quantity of molten plastic to be metered for injection to form the insulated runner. In automatic response to sensing such metering the computer causes the metered quantity to be injected into the channel. In automatic response to sensing completion of such injection, and after a interval during which the injected plastic cools to form the insulated runner, the computer causes further plastic material to be injected through the insulated runner into the mold cavities in accordance with parameters of a molding sequence including a plurality of injection molding cycles. The predetermined metered quantity of molten plastic material that is injected to form the insulated runner covers the mold-part-separation lines, but does not extend to any of the gates between the channel and the mold cavities.

    摘要: Various steps in the operation of an insulated runner injection molding system are automated by computer generated responses to various sensing steps or other steps to thereby reduce the performance requirements of the system operator. In automatic response to a manual operation incident to closure of a machine gate after an end-of sequence signal, a computer causes mold-cavity-encasing mold parts to be engaged. In automatic response to sensing such engagement of the mold-cavity-encasing mold parts, the computer causes the molding system to be adjusted to enable disengagement of insulated-runner-channel-encasing mold parts. In automatic response to sensing such adjustment of the molding system, the computer causes channel-encasing mold parts to be disengaged, whereupon a sprue is automatically removed therefrom in response to relative movement of the channel-encasing mold parts. In automatic response to sensing such disengagement of the channel-encasing mold parts, the computer causes the machine gate to be opened to enable inspection of the disengaged channel-encasing mold parts. In automatic response to a manual operation incident to closure of the machine gate after the sprue has been removed, the computer causes the molding system to be readjusted to enable injection of molten plastic into the channel and the mold-cavities. In automatic response to sensing such readjustment of the molding system, the computer causes such injection to be initiated. Drool of injected molten plastic into the mold cavities is reduced by varying the product cooling periods.

    摘要: A mold for producing molded fluoroelastomer parts has a mold cavity, a gate, and a runner and a sprue through which the gate communicates with an injection molding machine wherein an inorganic filler-containing crosslinkable liquid fluoroelastomer composition is injected into the mold cavity through the gate. The gate portion of the mold is surface treated with diamond-like carbon and has a cross-sectional area where it opens out into the mold cavity of 0.075-10 mm2. This combination of features lowers wear at the mold gate, thereby increasing the useful life of the mold, and also improves the mold release properties.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing injection moulded objects of thermoplastic material by injecting molten thermoplastic material into a mould from at least two distinct injection points whereas the flows of molten material from each injection point each fill part of the mould and flow together to fill the entire mould while still in molten state, wherein objects having a size of more than 80 cm along each of its three dimensional axes are produced by providing at least two distinct injection points at opposite sides of the mould. The invention also relates to injection moulding equipment for the manufacture of moulded objects of thermoplastic material, comprising at least two distinct injection points provided at opposite sides of a single mould assembly. The invention further also relates to three dimensional moulded objects of thermoplastic material having a size of more than 80 cm along each of its three dimensional axes. The mould assembly has side walls that move sideways when opening the mould to facilitate demoulding of the moulded object.

Prior fixed molten mass guide sleeves required extremely stringent location deviations and often led to mold cavity ruptures or leakage as a result of differential expansion between the nozzle body having the hot flow channel and the mold cavity channel. The inventive sleeve is fitted with peripheral sealing lips at each end and is mounted between the body having the hot flow channel and the mold cavity (6). The sleeve compensates for differential heat expansion while enabling well-defined temperature separation in the mold feed orifice area of the injection mold by sealing the air gap (4).
